Caring compassionate and reasonably priced. I have gone to VSH on occasion and each time was comforting to me and my dogs. Grateful there is someone to see my animals at 2:00 am if needed.meeting my animals in an urgent situation and helping me feel they can help my animals and they have each time.

These people are crooks. They charge you hundreds or thousands when you are the most vulnerable. Its worse than a funeral home. My vetenarian was so mad at them because their charges are exorbitant. They charged 68.00 to set up an IV and additional to administer. 42.00 for 2 units of insulin when a whole vial is 60.00 They also charged 42.00 for a dab of corn syrup to raise glucose levels. All said and done it cost 800.00 to treat a cat with low blood sugar. Do not go here unless you want to get screwed. DO NOT GO HERE!!!

The vets at VSHSD are all top-notch. my regular vet has misdiagnosed my dogs egregiously on several instances. i had to later take them for specialty treatment and the vets at VSHSD charged less than the regular vet that misdiagnosed

My cat escaped out the door and returned with a serious puncture in her eye and my vet referred us to Dr. Basher here for emergency treatment. The staff was very courteous and Dr. Basher was phenomenal! He recommended surgery but allowed me to try drops and a bunch of different meds for a day to see if it helped. Money is obviously not an issue with him (and the meds healed her eye so no surgery needed!) His emergency visit fee was $100 but the hospital sees patients for routine treatment and my return visits were only $40 exam fee. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful, the lobby was very open and roomy. Great place!
