I had spoken to several vets regarding my dog's blood work and dental condition. But despite all the theories they had, Dr. Klemenger was the only one who discussed virtually every possibility, detailing an explanation of both causes and therapies available, customizing my path of treatment based on my ability to proceed. She was patient, articulate, clear, not at all condescending, informative, and, frankly, so far, the best veterinarian I've ever met. Cost forces me to another clinic but she hand wrote all the questions I should ask regarding their anasthesia set-up, explaining the benefits of each instrument and technique. The staff was efficient and very friendly, the office is beautiful and it seems like they have it all here. Highly recommended!

I recently took a feral cat into this hospital, a male who has been impregnating all the female cats of the neighborhood (Freeport) for a long time. The receptionist was more than pleasant and the vets said since I had the cat in a trap with me, they would neuter him that afternoon. An hour before, I had driven to Farmingdale to a reduced price vets there, only to find they had moved out of state (Dr. Senk, who did much for ferals). My regular vet in Freeport was going to charge me $184 but under a feral cat trap and release program, Companions charged me only $84 which included all shots and a shot for any pain the cat may have. This is an excellent animal hospital and I'm sorry I didn't start going there earlier.
