Misdiagnosed more than once.
This last time was possibility life threatening. I was told my dog has simple gastritis and to just keep giving her pepcid as needed. No blood work, not even weighed. A little more effort would have revealed an inflamed pancreas. Given there was previous evidence of pancreatic abnormality, there should have been a red flag.
Her symptoms escalated and I took her for another opinion. My dog ended up hospitalized for 72 hours, on IV medication and fluids and is not out of the woods yet. Diagnosis confirmed by blood work- Pancreatitis and possibly inflammatory Bowel Disease.
As stated above, this was not their first error with my young dog, but it will be the last, at least with my dog.
Be careful.

Poor communication leads to poor treatment. Never told that my dog may have cancer from a particular tumor.I am looking for a new vet.

The last time I went there was 10 years ago, and the same vet (Staudacher) who misdiagnosed my cat (cat had CANCER, NOT allergies!) is still there. I give him a ZERO rating. Otherwise, the workers here are terrific!

The team at Roaring Brook is fantastic. They are friendly, courteous, knowledgeable, smart and dedicated. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Staudacher. And, if you want to board your pets there, they are just as fantastic! A great facility your pet---and you--will love!
