I took my little 15 lb lil dog to this vet. She was bunching her back and didn't want to jump much the day before, we had to take a trip to Calgary so I wanted to make sure it was nothing serious and we could leave her at the babysitters. My normal vet couldn't see us for a few hours but this vet said they could see us right away. Oncse we got there dog was better. she was running around the vet room like perfectly healthy. We have videos. The vet doctor, owner did a feel test of her, found absolutely nothing. We all figured just something sore for alike day. But then I asked her straight up, in all honesty if she thought it could be serious and of we need a xray. Her exact response, "it could be something in the abdomen so we should get a xray. We asked how much, she was reluctant to sya them told us $180.00 in total with the exam. She took her for exam, gave her some serious sedative. Tons of meds with her, she was in bad shape. Couldn't move. New bill $420.00.

We brought our cat in that had been limping badly for 2 days. We arrived 20 minutes early and were seen right away by the vet. This was our first ever visit to this vet. He looked Patches over for puncture wounds, rotated his shoulder and felt all over his leg and paw, very thoroughly. We were expecting to get xrays done which we figured would be costly but the vet did not see any reason yet for xrays. He thought that Patches had badly bruised his upper leg and he even said he could be wrong but lets start with that. He gave us 3 syringes of muscle relaxant for 3 days and said that if he did not get any better in 5 to 7 days to bring him back. So for getting checked out and medication it came to under $90.00. All the staff were excellent and the vet was very thorough and explained everything. Patches is barely limping now after 3 days. Very impressed with this Vet clinic and we have decided this is the place for us or rather for Patches. FANTASTIC Care and Service. Thank you

Dr. Cecilia, Anne, Geraldine & staff are just incredible! My Pomeranian Louie had an emergency last week and they got me in right away. They even stayed past closing to ensure Louie was treated properly and taken care of. The clinic even called the following day to see how Louie was doing!! So sweet! They made me feel a lot better too as I was really panicked and sad to see my dog in pain but I knew right away he was in good hands. I HIGHLY recommend this veterinary clinic! I honestly wouldn't go anywhere else. Once again a huge thank you to everyone at Albany Veterinary Clinic for helping my little baby!! He is pretty much all healed and finally back to his energetic self :) Thank you sooo much!! Alma

Dr. Cecilia is the best veterinary in Edmonton BAR NONE! Of these many years owning my dog, Dr. Cecilia is the best animal Doctor I have encountered. She is GREAT at what she does and she truly cares about the well-being of my dog. She took her time to talk to us, to our dog and she even took her time trying to feed our dog some low-fat premium dog food upon knowing he hasn't had any appetite for days. Did i mention her clinic was packed with appointments when she did this? My husband was in tears when our old dog actually ate out of her hand. True lover for animals Dr. Cecilia is! And I can say this with confidence that there arent that many doctors out ther like Dr. Cecilia. You either get ones who treat you like a number or see you like a dollar sign. Dr. Cecilia is an exceptional doctor who is patient, loving, compassionate and very very caring. I am switching my dog from our regular vet clinic to Albany Veterinary to see Dr. Cecilia. I wish there are more Dr. Cecilia out there!

Dr. Cecilia and her staff are wonderful. Dr. Cecilia is a "true" vet that practices for the love and well being of the animals - it's not just about the money. She truly cares and goes above and beyond. I am so sad that we are moving out of Edmonton because I know we will never find another vet like her. Thank you for all the great care you have given our boys!!

We have been taking our three animals here for a few years now and are so pleased with the care and professional treatment we receive. Most recently our pups got into a pound of butter and as one of our dogs has pancreatitis this worried us quite a bit. Dr. Cecilia without hesitation told us to come in, even though they were close to closing. When we got there everything was ready and thankfully our pups are both ok :) The staff really care about your animals and it shows. We were happy to have one of the techs notice that our cat had crystals in her urine at a routine nail trim and after we got her on different food saved her alot of pain and resolved the crystals. Thanks to the Albany staff and Dr. Cecilia for being so kind and treating our animals the way we wish all vets/clinics would !!

Dr. Cecilia is a credit to her field. Our coonhoundx has severe food allergies: our first vet insisted that a diet change was unnecessary, and just pushed a bunch of high dose meds at us: vet #2 was hollistic, with each herbal concoction, our dog's symptoms visibly worsened and we were told to 'keep at it: it's a guessing game' (as the money kept rolling). At wit's end, I walked into the Albany vet and was honestly delighted at the staff and Dr, Celilia. Ann, as the 'face' of the clinic, is warm, caring and knowledgeable. The techs have each been professional and patient and as for Dr. Cecilia, I cannot express my gratitude. You could not see the dollar signs in her eyes, the moment we walked in the door (as you so often do with vets...) and she always offers options for care and treatment, discussing cost, as well, which I have also never encountered. Appointments are always punctual, hours are great and we are always able to book an appt in a reasonable timeframe. Highly recommend.

Dr. Cecilia is a breath of fresh air compared to other veterinarians in the city of Edmonton. Our shih tzu, Casha ended up getting into a bunch of dark chocolate over the Christmas break. Understanding how bad and possibly fatal chocolate can be for dogs, we ended up calling our vet immediately. Surprisingly enough, they said "no we cannot help her, it is best to take her to the vet emergency clinic on 97 street". We were already loaded up in our van and ready to head out to the emergency clinic when my mother suggested calling her vet, Dr. Cecilia. Dr. Cecilia said to bring her in as she had everything needed to get rid of the chocolate in our dog's system. Upon arriving, everything was ready and they took her in immediately. Everything was finished within 10 minutes after arriving. Needless to say, we were very relieved that our dog would be OK and saved a bunch of money that we would have been overcharged with at the emergency clinic. Go with Dr. Cecilia, you will not regret it!

Dr Cecilia Dobrescu is the most compassionate, honest and hard working vet you could ask for. Dr Cecilia and her staff were there for us anytime day or night. After having a terrible experience with another vet we decided to give Albany a try and we were so grateful for what she did. Not only did she quickly diagnose our cat but was there for our cat while we tried to find the right solution for his urinary blockage. After perfectly diagnosing him and deciding on a plan of action she gracefully sent us to guardian animal hospital. Although she was capable of doing the surgery she wanted him where she knew he would be better looked after around the clock. After 2 weeks we finally have our beautiful boy home. It is such a peace of mind knowing that she is there to answer any questions we have and for magnificent aftercare. We could not have gotten through this tough time without Dr Cecilia, her wonderful staff and her kind husband. We are eternally grateful for Dr Cecilia.

We have avoided taking our dogs to an emergency vet because Albany Veterinary Clinic, Dr. Cecelia, and Anne are all amazing! They are very caring & professional. They are very accommodating & compassionate. And above all, they love animals. As dog owners, we highly recommend this vet clinic. When we had to put our beloved beagle down, Albany Vet Clinic saved us a lot of heartache and stress by coming to our home to relieve her pain. Thank you for your service. <3

Albany clinic in north Edmonton is the only place I would trust any of my pets. They have been nothing but spectacular to me and my dog(Marley). Not one person acts like this job is a pay check, they love every animal that comes into the clinic. They are knowledgable, and have answered questions over the phone due to some minor concerns. They know you your name when you walk in the door, which is a pretty big thing for me. They really care about you pets, they remind you when shots are due, Marley had a Tumor on her side which needed to be removed, they never charged me for any check ups concerning the surgery, that to me was fantastic. The people at this clinic doc included in my opinion are the best in Alberta hands down.

Piper is the first dog my husband and I have ever had and she sure is curious! This can get her into trouble and sometimes this happens after hours. We knew Dr. Cecilia and team were the perfect match for us when we called frantically one evening (after hours) when Piper had swallowed a sock and Anne answered. They were still working and able to take the call. She talked to Dr. Cecilia about seeing us and told us to come in right away! We were so grateful. Their gentle, welcoming nature is why we continue to see them whenever a problem pops up - we know Piper is in good hands! The staff are friendly, the facility is clean and they are always very punctual and accommodating to my work schedule. We would highly recommend Dr. Cecilia and her team to anyone looking for a trustworthy vet in the area.

I have three cats and two dogs, and I am happy to recommend Albany Veterinary Clinic to other pet owners. My first interactions with Dr Cecilia were when she was on a locum at another clinic, and I was impressed with her manner and expertise. Since moving my pet care to Albany, she has put together an excellent care plan for my diabetic cat and provided a high level of care overall. In terms of staff, there has been some turnover in the clinic and they have a solid crew now. Anne Riley is very experienced and knowledgeable, and she has provided after-hours support to me and my pets on many occasions. More importantly, she is committed to consistent protocols in vet care. I have total confidence that my pets are in good hands when they are there. In terms of the facilities themselves, it is spacious, clean and bright. Prices are reasonable, and i have never been subjected to the "up-sell" techniques that are so common at other clinics now. This is an excellent clinic.

Dr. Cecillia Dobrescu is the most caring, compassionate, loving vet I know. I have been searching for someone like her for so many years. She listens and shows so much respect. She never rushes you and most importantly wants to make sure your pets are feeling relaxed and safe with her and her team as well. Today she went way above and beyond and dropped something off at my door for my cat who has kidney disease. She is an amazing person. Anne who works at the front counter has a HUGE heart, and when We had to say goodbye to out 19 year old cat recently, Anne was so empathetic, and so sad for us, she was exactly what we needed during this difficult time, not trying to sell us something, Anne loves animals, its written all over her, she has been an enormeous help to me and our cats. Love this clinic and recommend this to everyone who wants the best care for there pets.

I have been to this clinic a few time. The clinic is always clean and the vet is pretty good, but is usually 5-10minutes behind. I do not like dealing with the older receptionist she is always rude and snippy to the other people I see her talking to and even her coworkers.If you deal with her don't asume everyone else at the clinic is like her, most of the other girls I have talked to are very nice and helpful with my dog.

I waited half an hour in a stuffy little room before I asked the girl at the front how much longer it would be. I was on time for my appointment. I'm sure I was forgotten about. Someone came in and asked me the same questions that the doctor did when she finally came in. I had to wait again for the medicine by the time I paid over an hour had gone by. I was having some questions and asked the girl at the front and she was dismissive I asked her to have the doctor call me. I kept my phone with me at work for three days and realized nobody would be calling me. Bad service not going back

I have brought my cat with an extreemly bad ear infection in and the love for him was amazing! They even called to see how he is doing. Next i brought my dog in for her checkup and shots. Again the quality of care was amazing. Then my neighbour needed a vet so I took her to see Dr.Cecilia and my neighbour raves about her as well. i will recomend her to any one else who needs a vet. The staff is fantastic and the doc is definately there for the love of animals!!!

I can not tell you enough how happy I am (well my dog is) to be a patient at this clinic. We just moved to Albany last year and they just opened when we started going. I have to go in about once a month regardless to get my dogs oral and topical ointments for his dry coat (he's from Australia and is still not used to the dryness of Alberta as we came from a humid climate) and they are always so lovely when we come in to say hi. Ann at the front is a whiz when it comes to direct billing our trupanion insurance, and we just pay the small bit out of pocket. Same for when our dog needs to be seen by Dr C. They direct bill everything except of course the consult which the insurance doesn't cover. Prices are excellent, Clinic is always super clean and everyone is very friendly. My dog actually pulls me to go in there if we are walking through the parking lot to panda express or subway. They are always there to help collect pee samples if needed too! Thanks Dr C and the gang!

Absolutely the best vet ever! A great common sense clinic. Dr. Cecilia is very knowledgeable and approachable. SHE LISTENS TO YOU! She has taken care of our Addison's Disease dog for well over a year now and we have achieved amazing results. All our pets like to go to the vet. She is kind and likes to snuggle a bit with each animal making them feel comfy and loved. Ann and the rest of the staff are equally compassionate with our animals as well as polite and courteous to the humans. All seem genuinely interested in providing a positive experience "at the vets" for both pets and pet owners. If there is a need for urgent access, everyone there goes out of their way to accommodate. The facilities are nice, clean and modern. They aren't the cheapest clinic, nor the most expensive and they don't try to upsell you or do unnecessary tests. I would not hesitate to recommend this vet.

We had an elderly cat (almost 19 years) and she has been seen at the clinic since October. Our dealings here have been very positive. Dr. Cecelia has been very approachable and compassionate. She has gone above and beyond in her concern and caring, can't say enough good about her. Her staff have also been caring and responsive to our questions. Would recommend this Clinic to anyone.

Been coming here for a while now. I really like the doctor, she's one who takes time to talk to me. I like that. Some of the staff are amazing to deal with, thats what drew me in here. That said, some aren't so fun to deal with. I've recently found myself becoming very frustrated dealing with the poor communication. Expectations have been higher. Hopefully this is a temporary glitch and will be remedied. Very nice new clinic.

We are so incredibly pleased to have found Dr. Cecilia and her staff at Albany Vet! Our 3 cats go there, and receive excellent care. The staff are friendly, engaged, and seem to truly care about our pets. They have helped our one cat to lose 6 pounds in less than a year! We had a frustrating lack of results with other vets with him, and are so relieved that Albany Vet has been able to help us. It has been amazing to see his transformation. We are getting a puppy in the next few weeks and will be very happy to bring him to Albany Vet!

Have found the greatest vet!!!! Dr. Cecilia is absolutely wonderful to my pets. She went above and beyond what was needed, treated her with such kindness, is very smart and knows what she's doing, not only is she a remarkable Dr. She also has a wonderful bedside manner. I brought my dog in for the first time and she was not doing well, Dr. Cecilia got her in right away, was straightforward, and honest, we are very thankful we found her and her team! The staff are very friendly! Very intelligent, helpful, warm and loving to my pets and they definetly go out of their way to make our pets and ourselves feel welcome. I highly recommend Dr. Cecilia and her crew!

I take my 2 small dogs to this clinic and couldn't be happier with the services! The staff is fantastic and are always so caring. I get calls from the clinic to check in on the dogs after every visit, which is reassuring! I now buy all of my dogs food there too as they only have the best quality and it's more reasonably priced than a pet store!

Facilities - very clean, new place. I had a tour and it looks pretty high tech where the surgeries and everything is done. Nice and clean and doesn't smell. Location is great close to home.
Punctuality - My appointment ran over I thought because there was so much time with the vet tech. I really like to talk to my Dr myself and not have to speak to the doctor through the staff. I had this experience in another clinic and I am not a fan. More doctor time and less vet tech time would be great. Otherwise I got in on time.
Value - I had great value for money. I had to take more time than I initially planned so I could speak to the doctor (appointment ended up 1 hour) I was satisfied with the doctor 100%. However, if they had been busy I would not have been able to have the extra time at the end with the doctor which would have decreased this component.

After having several negative experiences with veterinarians, I was very pleased with the service provided by Dr. Cecilia and her team at Albany Vets. My 9 week old puppy would not stop whining and seemed to have a sore tummy, so I called and they had space for me to bring him in right away. Everyone was so kind and concerned, and Dr. Cecilia is very knowledgable and helpful. She offers emergency services as well, which is a relief! I would definitely recommend this new clinic to anyone, very clean environment and they know what they are doing :)

This is a brand new clinic in the neighborhood, great parking, clean and the staff are really helpful, actually very helpful and seem to know their stuff. I would have preferred a more diagnostic treatment rather than treating the symptoms and wait to see what happened approach. Doctor was very nice and friendly.

We just moved to this area and my old vet was all the way in Sherwood Park. I happened to see this clinic while picking up groceries one day so I decided to try it out. The staff are wonderful, helpful and very caring towards your pet and the facility is very clean. Dr. Cecilia is very helpful and has been more than accomodating with appointments, phone calls and questions. Everyone who works there is great! I do not feel like just a patient coming in the door. They always call to follow up and make sure everthing is going well. I would recommend Albany Vet clinic to anyone.

Lady vet has no experince, make you spend more on the tests. Very hard to understand her accent. The girl at the reception has bad attitude. Do not recommend anyone this vet. I will stay with my previous vet even I have to travel little far!!

The staff is wonderful, the facility is brand new, very clean and very warming. They are a new clinic so they are on time and do take walk ins. Their prices are very fair. The staff has been taking care of my cat and I don't have any answers. He's quite sick and it's problem after problem. I feel if his unknown illness continues I will get a second opinion with another veterinarian. Very nice clinic though.

First let me start by saying there should be an "excellent" answer because this clinic is extraordinary! My dog developed a bad case of diarrhea and after trying many home remedies I finally had to give in! I noticed this clinic one day as I was going to the pet store next door an I popped in for some answers! The vet spent over 20 mins of her time with me and I was the one that had to end the conversation! They are very affordable and the staff is so informative and helpful! I even got a follow up call 2 times to see how my dog was doing! They are always so helpful and never ever do I feel rushed off the phone or out of the clinic! I highly highly highly recommend this clinic! Within hours of our visit my dog was almost back to perfect! His stools were hard and he was eating again! Love these guys'! I will forever bring my pets here! To the last reviewer of this clinic with all do respect you have no idea what kind of service and care u are missing out on! Thanks you Albany staff!
