Our family had a horrible experience at The Gentle Doctor Animal Hospital. We received a mailing (a flyer) that highlighted a few discounted services they were offering. We had been there before awhile back, and when we received this flyer, we did some research and decided to take two of our dogs in for the dental special they were running on their flyer THEY mailed to us. Nowhere on this sheet of paper did it say, you must bring this in to receive that discount, because it was NOT a coupon, it was a flyer. The staff was extremely rude and disrespectful to us. They said they could not give us the discount price without that coupon (flyer). We were asked if we could go and find it. I had given it to my elderly father, who was in search for a vet closer to home. I explained this to several people. I waited over 20 min and was questioned over and over. They stuck to the fact that we did not have the flyer with us. A Tech came out and finally said I am sorry, but we cannot give this discou

My cat was brought in for a leg injury. He was unable to walk or use his back leg. Horrible x-rays were taken of his leg which made an accurate diagnosis impossible. We were told that my cat had no broken bones and sent home with an antibiotic. The vet told us that his leg should be getting better within a few days. After a week of no improvement, we had to pay a second time for a re-check where more x-rays were taken by a different staff member and concluded my cat did have a broken leg. However, since it was allowed to heal improperly for a week… my cat (only 8 months old) would never be able to use his leg again or walk normally for the rest of his life… unless, we paid over $2000.00 for a surgical procedure that required a specialist. When we asked for our money back for the visit to Gentle Doctor Animal Hospital when my cat was misdiagnosed, we were rudely turned down EVEN THOUGH their web site clearly states that they offer a 100% money back guarantee.

Dr. McCool and the other Doctors on staff are always very friendly and kind. They treat my dogs like their own.

New puppy got first shots, destroyed fur around site, did not take responsibility, claimed it just happens to some dogs. Other vets said no, shot improperly administered. Should be intramuscular, was administered subcutaneous. Caused necrosis of skin, bald spot is permanent and incurable. Destroyed dog's coat. But did this vet refused to take responsibility or offer any compensation, not even apology. I would not take a stray to Gentle Doctor to euthenize.

Dr. Bob McCool is just great! Dr. Emily too! They do great work and care about your pet and you. I have had more than one dog with severe medical problems and they were patient, understanding, helpful and compassionate.
