Brought my 3y/o Spaniel Cooper in on 28Jan2024. He was in distress and was shaking. Was Triaged and given a "yellow" rating (not serious). Close to 7 hours passed and had not seen a doctor. Told that 3 of the 4 doctors go home after 8pm. This should not be the case when they're so busy. Cooper and I left after 7 hours. Saw our Vet on Tuesday, who made an assessment and recommendations. Friday we agreed to have Cooper on IV fluids as well as having an ultrasound performed. The ultrasound revealed that his entire digestive system was riddled with cancer wrapped around each organ. We put Cooper to sleep at 4:12pm that afternoon (2Feb2024), since the cancer was too widespread and inoperable. Not impressed with your clinic. Not the doctor's fault for not getting to see Cooper, since there were a lot of patients, but you don't send 3/4 of your doctors home when the number of patients keep growing.

This clinic is so very highly recommended by me following a horribly disgusting experience at O’Sullivan vet. The staff at Huronia are kind, caring, personable and the prices are more than reasonable. Their original quote for porcupine quill removal was $1200 for BOTH dogs and that included boarding when O’Sullivan’s quote was $2000 PER DOG! Huronia even put them under again the next day to get out more quills that had migrated overnight for no extra charge! AND one of the dog’s face swelled up a few days later and they put her under again for more quill removal and only charged for the anesthesia! I really hope anyone thinking of going to O’Sullivan’s will reconsider and anyone that’s there would leave and go to Huronia instead of just accepting that ridiculous greedy quote and ending up having to put their beloved pet down because they just can’t afford that cost. They are absolutely phenomenal, I can’t stress that enough ????????????????

After an absolutely horrible experience at our home vet clinic, the wonderful staff at Huronia renewed our faith in veterinary medicine. The staff were so wonderful at explaining the expenses, helping us to evaluate our pet's needs and develop a realistic plan. I cannot thank them enough for their compassion and caring as we dealt with the unnecessary and unfortunate death of our beloved pet. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
