Totally disgusting! Manager is so inappropriate and rude beyond belief! My wife was in tears leaving to come back to our car because of this so called manager/veterinarian that she spoke to simply regarding the high prices and he asked her to leave citing "she was unprofessional"! I myself went back in to the clinic to simply ask why he put my wife in tears and he suggested I leave too! This man himself is very disturbing and lacks all elements of professionalism and should be relieved of his position! Maybe? then people can be more welcomed with caring for their pets?

Incredible customer service on June 3, 2020! I got my appointment date wrong, but despite being swamped by backup in COIVD19 demand, they managed to squeeze me in for a full vet physical and shots and consult within 15 mins of my arrival!!! The vet, Dr. Habbas (?) she was so caring and thorough; consulted 2 sources of medical literature regarding my dog's incontinence medicine no longer covering her completely; she wanted to be absolutely sure that dosage increase wouldn't harm her health. The vet techs had to take her twice for testing, and they were cheerful and quick each time, despite me not booking that time ahead!! As always with Beattie, the prices were carefully explained to me as options, and the vet even "bundled' 2 tests together to make it cheaper for me. My dog is never stresse there. I've been taking dogs to Beattie for more than 10 years and always had great service BUT THIS WAS ABOVE EXPECTATIONS!

I took my cat to this clinic as it was an emergency. When we got there it turned out he had urinary crystals & was fully blocked. I dealt with one vet, Dr.Mellish. We were discussing payment & we agreed that I would pay a portion of the price to get him through the night as my CC was lost so I could only afford a portion on debit. Well at the counter it turned out my Debit was only able to let me do a part of the bill as it had a limit. I was already crying and upset & the receptionist said I could come back in the morning to pay the rest as the bank wouldn't do anything over the phone. When I got home the vet called saying she needed the extra 200$ due to complications and if I couldn't pay it she would euthanize my cat. I explained the situation AGAIN & she said I HAD to pay. I borrowed money & 3 hrs later I called they still haven't treated my cat. But they needed the 200 asap I showed a new vet the bill & said what I gave b4 the $200 was more than enough for the night plus some.

Just look at all their bad reviews for ALL Beattie locations. They are a profit-driven corporation only. When we arrived with our beloved Gibson who had died suddenly we were not permitted to enter the waiting area and were told to pay up and wait outside. We were then told to drive around the back of the clinic like we were going to make some illicit drug deal in the dark, and then bring our beloved Gibson in the back door like a bag of trash! There was zero compassion, zero dignity as they instructed us to place Gibson on top of a large chest freezer! No private consultation room to say your final goodbyes, no chairs to sit in while you grieve, no quiet space to shed your tears, nothing except a large chest freezer! The front desk is cold, lacking in any degree of compassion, indifferent to the emotions that we experience. The vet staff are inconsistent, difficult to understand, and too rushed to take the time to explain things to you about your pet.

We took my ex's cat there. He was an older cat and having trouble breathing. They said he had fluid in his lungs, and put him on oxygen. All the possible prognoses were pretty grim, which we expected. The issue was the staff just seemed so cold and indifferent. We ordered a memory paw print and said it would be ready in a few days and that they would call. They never called. I called after 2 weeks and was told someone would look into it and call back. I called again a week later, and a snippy lady told me it had been sitting waiting for pickup for weeks and that they'd called a bunch of times (they hadn't). I wasn't impressed with their bedside manner at all.

Never come here, we filed a suit with the regulatory board in Guelph and they were found guilty of malpractice. We had went here as a temporary vet until we found one we looked and it was the biggest mistake for our cat! My opinion is that they killed him with doing the a botched surgery that lead to his decline in health and a second surgery without looking at the bloodwork. Not to mention all the following: poor communications, long wait times, lack of compassion etc. Even after they were found guilty they never called to apologize. I tried calling a few times to speak to someone about the disciplinary results and the owner never calls back. This speaks volumes to their accountability, and reliability. They don't care about your pets or you is the bottom line. No one should bring their pets here. I'm not surprised with the other reviews. Lots of the vets are fresh out of school- amateurs. I wish I made a review sooner than waiting a few years. Hopefully this saves more lives.

My dog frequents the Burlington location as he has a lot of allergies and problems. The only good thing about Beattie is the price and the new Burlington facility is nice. Plus I don't usually wait more than a couple minutes to be seen. Besides that, the reception staff are rude and don't seem to care. My dog gets a Vet diet that has to be ordered through them and I am constantly calling to see if it had arrived yet - I can wait up to a week after they say the food should arrive and they just don't call me. I have to call to see if its there. Same goes for refilling his pills. I had an allergy test done for my dog and again they didn't call me with the results so 2 weeks later I called and one vet said he has no allergies. That didn't make sense to me as he has been on allergy medication all his life so I called my usual vet at the office and he said hes allergic to everything. Like WHAT!? Anyways, don't go here if your animal has any illnesses. Regular checkups and shots are good.

Staff seem totally uninterested, Punctuality is the worst. And my dog was given a higher dose of medication, on the instructions, when I mentioned this they were VERY indifferent!.. this was a blood pressure medication, which could have been fatal.. So, I would not recommend this clinic , or its staff at all.. Seems they care more about getting money for a job not well done...

Avoid at all costs. Took my Great Dane there after some seizures. Dog stayed overnight for observation and in the morning the vet recommended putting him down. One reason was that he was now blind and being a large dog it was a contributing factor in us putting him down. When we got the final vet report a couple of days later it stated dog's vision was fine. Now I am kicking myself for putting him down. On top of that they would not return the leash we brought him in with as we wanted it as a memento. We talked to 4 different staff members over the next couple of days asking about the leash and all 4 promised return calls and did not receive a single return call. Avoid these people.

Please don't take any of your pets here. They are all about the money and nothing about the animals. The wait time there is ridiculous,The staff is rude and ignorant. They over charge, Managers never call back.My dog has been on medication for over 2 years, asked for a professional opinion about her meds after listening to their advice I was full out accused of causing my dog to start having seizures again. She needed to be hospitalized and when I picked her up I was told that my dog was being “difficult" and wouldnt go to the bathroom outside ummm, Can you blame her with all the drugs she was being pumped with? She was covered in urine and feces it was like they let her lay in it for hours before it was cleaned up, she smelt so bad.You would think with the amount of money I was paying they could have given her a bath I have wasted over $2,000 dollars in the past 3 months. They are just playing trial and error.I will never take my animals there again,I highly advise against it. HORRIBLE!!

I am rating the Burlington Beattie Vet Clinic on Appleby Line. They are the worst in customer service I have ever experienced. They were quick to book my dog for surgery, but then cancelled on the day of, due to overbooking. They booked her again and tried to cancel AGAIN, but I refused due to her fasting all day. They completed her surgery and I picked her up at midnight!! I then took her back for a follow up, as she had some complications. and they billed me for the follow up stating that it was 5 weeks later. She has very noisy breathing now and has pain in her neck, due to the tube they used during surgery. When I questioned the charge, Laura H. (so-called manager) became rude, loud and extremely unprofessional. I will never go back and if you love your pet, DO NOT GO THERE!!! If this is how you treat people, you will be out of business in no time...I HOPE!!

I took my pet to this clinic for a while, but I am sorry to say NOT ANYMORE! I will forever remember this clinic in a negative way. They are good for simple visits, such as annual shots, etc., but not for serious issues that require accurate diagnosis and follow-up treatment. Please look around to find someone who is knowledgeable and competent, otherwise you will REGRET it, like I do today. Front line workers and technicians are usually rude and inexperienced, and only after you complain to the management they MAY change their behaviour for a short while. I have noticed their prices going up and the customer services going down over the years. There is always new staff at the front desk. What does this say about the business and/or the management? I think they are money driven than providing animal care. I certainly would never take my pet there again. Do not recommend them one bit, there are better vets out there, do your homework and you’ll find a more caring and competent one…

My friend's dog has been going to Beattie for 8 years. Jan/2015 he was diagnosed & supposedly treated for a diabetic condition. Sadly, it wasn’t detected earlier during our “ quick annual check-ups”? We now had to go to the clinic constantly due to his unstable sugar level. Each time they did more tests without any follow-up plans or discuss alternative treatment. His insulin units were just doubled, over the phone, during the last 8 months. Due to their incompetence, his sugar continued to be imbalanced, and now my poor dog has gone blind. Devastated, I decided to go elsewhere. Fortunately, I did. Unlike Beattie, my new vet really looked into his condition and gave us hope that his sugar level could be corrected. Within one week my dog’s condition became stable & he is finally more alert & happy again now. Beattie’s lack of care and negligence caused my beloved dog’s blindness & confirmed by a new vet. I am so angry. Beattie seems to be running a money making factory….Be forewarned!

Good clinic with reasonable prices. Wait times are too long! Recently waited over 1 hr for scheduled appt. Customers should not be waiting that long! As usual staff has many excuses as to why they are behind and don't care that customers are waiting. Poor customer service in that regard.

Excellent service, kind staff, and great prices. I shopped around for my Javanese purebred cat when he needed surgery and found that the prices were the lowest in the area. Low prices didn't mean inferior service though as the staff were knowledgeable and caring. Thanks! Highly recommended!

I took my dog to the Beatties because he had been coughing, after waiting half an hour in the waiting room to be entered into a exam room, where I then proceeded to wait another 45 minutes to be seen by a doctor. Right off the bat the doctor said my dog probably had kennel cough, I then tried to explain to him that my dog was vaccinated against it and has been every year for his whole life (I also brought the records to prove it) He then proceeded to tell me that my dog just had the booster, so he was still at risk. I then had to explain to his again that my dog wasn't vaccinated at Beatties he was vaccinated else where so no he did not need a booster, and whoever put it in the system that way was mistaken ( again, I had the records to prove he was up to date) For whatever reason the doctor could not understand this, as if the thought of another clinic doing vaccines was crazy. I ended up leaving unhappy and with nothing resolved. I took my dog to another clinic, and everything was ok

The front staff were unfriendly. I was not impressed. They were like robots The veterinarian, Dr. Steven Hotten was I thought odd, rude and I felt he did not know what he was doing. Even though my Yorkshire terrier had a temperature &a dental infection all he was concerned about is expensive blood work and didn't explain what was going on. I said to him she's got a fever & obviously needs an antibiotic. He does not believe in antibiotics. He believes that a dog should build up their immune system and get stronger. I could see this if my dog has always been on antibiotics but she is almost 7 and I believe she has been on antibiotics twice in her life once when she was spayed and another time when she had a UTI . Dr. Hotten asked me to take a urine sample. 5 pounds impossible because urine will touch the outside of her urethra and will mess up the resultsI I will never go back there. Even though the office was clean, it's new. I have a vet but she was closed as it was a Saturday. People

One weekend my dog wasnt herself. On saturday I called my vet and got some advice and was told if she got worse to
bring her to a vet. She ended up getting worse the next day. It went downhill so quickly and she wasnt able to hold her head up. I gave Beatties a call and told them her symptoms. We were able to bring her in right away, and as soon as they saw how bad she was, they took her into the back right away. A while later they came out and gave us
rundown. She was on her death bed and they saved her life!
She stayed the night and was diagnosed with Addisons disease. A few months later she was having a bit of trouble and I called them for advice. She ended up getting worse, so we ended up brining her in the middle of the night and they did some testing (she was having a mini addisonian crisis). The staff here is wonderful. Very knowledgable and friendly. I would recommend this vet to anyone!

I went there for the first time for my puppy's first check up. I was unimpressed with the uninviting reception, they seem to treat patients as a number and changed my reason for coming from 'checkup' to 'shots needed.' The vet tech seemed only interested in booking my next visit and the Vet we saw was pompous and rude and seemed irritated when I asked him for explanations and terms he used that I did not understand. I explained this was our first time here and I would like an overview of what I should expect for vet visits but this did not change his demeanour. I did not have a good first impression of this place and I have since cancelled my next appointment to find somewhere else.

I had to take my kittens in for help after infections from a spay at another vet. At midnight, there were multiple staff members here. They all introduced themselves and were so friendly. The facility is so clean and organized! They took their time answering questions and providing information, and gave me multiple options for treatment that I could choose, weighing the pros and cons of each. They were great, I will never go anywhere else. My cats are so much better, and I am so much more at ease because of their knowledge and consideration teaching me about what was going on. I am greatly impressed.

Loved the techs and vets, but will never go back thanks to the amazingly rude and cold red head working the front counter. She was way more interested in her cell phone than our injured cat. Never again...

I went there to buy a bag a food for my dog (it was my first time there) and waited in the food area near a desk with a computer for 10-15 min waiting for someone to help me. Finally got tired and ask the ladies at the front desk, they got my food any proceeded to bill me out. I ask if anyone was working in the food area and they told me no that just a desk for inventory and how it is so funny how many people just stand there any wait. (which is what i had just done). I found them to be very rude and immature and felt uncomfortable because they were making fun of me in a way. I would never go back!
