Messed up on paw print and multiple other things. I can't even go into details without my heart breaking over and over. All I will say is AVOID THIS PLACE IF YOU LOVE YOUR PET. THEY WILL DO EVERYTHING IN THEIR POWER TO SCREW YOU OVER. RID: 66378
Click to report rating    2/6/18   2     2     3     2   Brought my dog here for breathing problems and the vet (Guillermo Trimino) would not get off the idea that he was in pain due to arthritis. I know my dog, and this wasn't the case - at one point the vet asked me if I wanted to do his job for him - because I was asking so many questions about other possible diagnoses. We left with pain meds and our dog was 100% seemingly better the next day, without taking the meds. Fast forward 2 months - same symptoms - we took to another vet emerg (Guardian) and had a different vet, and found out that the breathing problems were from far along progressed lung cancer and we had to put him down. I know vets are human, and we all make mistakes - but the care and way the 2nd vet listened to us tell her what we know about our dog, helped get the correct diagnosis. All we ask is that you listen to the owners full story about their dog. Sorry but we will never go back to Vet Emerg on 97th with any future pets. RID: 65536
Click to report rating    8/25/17   1     3     2     1   We had to let my best friend of 13 years go around 2 weeks ago. I couldn't bring myself to go in to pick up his ashes so my boyfriend went in for me. They would not release his ashes to anyone but the owner, which is fair, I understand that, but the front desk lady was completly rude and passive aggressive. So I had to go in, still sobbing and sort everything out. I go in and am greeted with the same cold attitude, no compassion at all. Worst time of my life, and this lady did not show the slightest bit of compassion. RID: 64512
Click to report rating    4/27/17   1     5     1     1   With complete understanding that an emergency facility is very important and will cost more to use and run......Try someplace else.We have three emergency vet clinics in the city. This place not only overcharges and I mean to the extreme. They are all about the money. My dog was a transfer as my vet has no overnight service on the weekend. My clinic quoted the weekend would cost between 400 -600 hundred at the emergvet.for the weekend. We rushed him over,Expecting them to carry on with the care as we took the paperwork. They rushed him and paperwork off as we waited over 4 hours till a vet could make time to explain the rediculous charges that they had come up with.An estimate close to $4000.00 for the weekend. Our vet had done the tests and ultrasounds ,all they had to do was hook up existing IV and follow through with basics. We took our dog home after much b.s. And them demanding partial payment.Meanwhile our dog had been thrown in a cage and they had done nothing. Can't reccomend RID: 63468
Click to report rating    3/21/15   1     1     1     1   Brought our dog here because he got into a fight with my other dog. Had a small opening on his chest. They took him in for surgery and stitched him up. After 10 days we came back to have his stitches removed, they said he was all healed. By the time we had returned home his wound had reopened like it had never been stitched. We brought him back and was told he had to go thru it all again! The vet said it was due to him licking it. We had a shirt on him do that wasn't possible. Seemed like they just want your money and could care less about the animals! Will never bring any animal here again EVER!!0 RID: 56354
Click to report rating    8/19/14   3     5     1     1   Took my dog there and was informed he would need a small surgery to remove a small object in his stomach. Long story short and six thousand dollars later my dog died. They ripped my dog apart . He never had a chance with the mess they made. The front end staff are wonderful and Aaron(vet) and Dr Gunderson were very nice and compassionate but as for the rest I feel like they were just out to make a buck and could care less about my dog. Would never take another animal there! RID: 53152
Click to report rating    7/29/14   5     5     5     5   Was unsure about this clinic from the beginning as I didn't know very much about Veterinarians (my dog has never been to one regularly) and was very pleased with the entire experience. They all treated my dog like gold and listened to my every concern. Nothing was done without my approval and they respected whatever I said yes or no to. I am forever grateful to VetEmerg for giving my old guy more time with us! RID: 52803
Click to report rating    4/25/14   1     1     1     1   Terrible place to bring your pets. The vets are very business-oriented and seem to want to maximize their profit per visit. Further, they misdiagnosed my dog and advised me to put him down. I was given much resistance when I refused, instead choosing to find a second opinion. The second vet that I visited shortly afterwards confirmed the misdiagnosis and told me that there was no reason to put my dog down. VetEmerg is expensive, and although the vets are kind, they are not people I would trust your pet's well-being with. RID: 51247
Click to report rating    11/28/13   5     5     5     5   (Midnight Nov 21st/2013) Our 18 month old rough collie, was in extremely poor condition having unknown to us ingested some mouse poison a few days prior. Doctors and staff quickly recognized the situation and took immediate action. We are forever in Dr Mohamed Kassem debt for saving our boy, Charlie. Ferd & Rica Caron The care Charlie received was exceptional and we highly recommend VetEmerg for your emergency needs. RID: 48495
