Maybe he had a change of heart, but when I brought my lab to him with a knee problem, he went right to the problem, and offered me a simple approach, that did not cost me any money. I saved $2400 on the surgery, and my dog walks like brand new!

I have been taking my 12.5 year old lab/great dane mix to Dr.Silver for the past 5 years. I must say I was pleased with his care until the last several months and it became clear to me that Dr. Silver was more motivated by money than by what is in the best interest of my dog. Zoe has some minor joint pain that he has been treating with Rymidal and Maxi Boz. Zoe is extremely healthy and young for her years and it's important to me to maintain her vibrancy as long as possible. The Rymidal is very expensive - Silver has been charging me nearly 40% more than other vets/outlets and a $10.00 per bottle 'dispensing fee'! To count pills!! I was spending over $140 per month on Zoe's meds. Once I investigated and then approached him on other resources - he became very defensive, which is a warning sign. He blamed me and I fired him. Kaprex is a no side-effect and highly effective alternative to Rymidal that is safe for humans too. No liver or ulcer concerns.

Our 12-year-old cat had Diabetes, a treatable disease, but after four months we had been unable to regulate his insulin at home or care for him as well as we wanted to with our available space & monetary resources. He was constantly unhappy and his quality of life was very low. He had more bad time than good time and couldn't control his urination and defecation. He was very sick. Finally, we made the most difficult decision either of us has ever had to make, and we scheduled an appointment to have him euthanized.
Dr. Silver was very judgmental of our decision, but he took our money & performed the euthanasia. He treated us incredibly rudely, and when we attempted to speak with him about it and ask him to please seek more information in the future before making a judgment (he didn't know anything about our situation or our reasons), he slammed the door on us.
We hope that no one ever has to experience anything like this when making the decision to put a friend to sleep.
