Calvert Veterinary Center is small, women-run business in Pasadena. The staff is extremely attentive and the service is personal. I've only ever had one vet there arrive late for an appointment. One of the nurses even let me know when I was getting a check-up for my puppy when I didn't need one. She saved me over $100. This is the only vet I've ever been to, recommended to me by a family member who takes her three cats there, so I can't say too much about pricing. They recently added a surgical space, grooming, and moved to a bigger facility so that they could accommodate more training classes. It's a fantastic place I would recommend to anyone in the area.
