I used to love this vet clinic when Dr T owned it. Unfortunately he passed away and the current vet bought it. Dr. T was a vet because of his love for animals. This vet is in it for the money. You can just tell by the flashing sign out near the street. My dog gets very stressed when going to the vet. Due to this he would snap, but not bite, at people who handled him. Dr T understood this. This vet does not, therefore she labeled him a mean, vicious dog. He is not mean or vicious he is very friendly to both humans and other dogs, both large and small. I have since switched vets and am very happy with who I'm now using.

As another user said cheap for a reason. Also I swear I posted a review before but it's gone now so here we go again. Staff are rude and the receptionist actually advocated animal abuse. The vet was always late or cancelled within the same day of the appointment. She also said many things that made us questions here knowledge and skills. We have since switched to conventry and live them. I also trust them with my babies lives which I didn't with avon. DO NOT GO HERE. there are plenty of qualified vets in the area.

Cheap for a reason. Poor quality care and disappointing staff. Vet was late and unorganized. No registered veterinary technicians working there, prefer romeo pet hosp or Coventry for that reason, their staff are trained and professional. Did not like they way they performed Euthanasia on my cat, after giving a drug that paralyzed her every limb she had a very traumatic injection into the heart, instead of a peaceful IV injection like i have previously witnessed. My cat suffered for weeks before this suggestion was made and after I had spent countless dollars on tests and diagnostics. Went in on an emergency visit where the vet and her husband performed procedure? shouldn't there be proper staff with training to aid..felt very uncomfortable. Not impressed. Cheap and sketchy.

The best pet hospital in town. Think and care about animals more than finding ways to fool clients to make money by recommending unnecessary tests or medicines. Vet invested lots of time to explain everything to our satisfaction. We were insisting on more tests but was not recommended by the vet. This saved us lots of money and our dog recovered well.

Our older cat suffered needlessly for over a week because this vet thought she wan't eating because we were spoiling her with treats. She didn't suggest any tests. I insisted on a blood test. When it was normal she should have suggested an ultrasound because we knew how sick our kitty was because she was completely off her food for the last week. When I demanded an ultrasound be done, our appointment was cancelled due to some family matter. Luckily we went to Coventry Pet Hospital and they found tumors doing an ultrasound. We had them put her down to prevent any more suffering. Avon couldn't even send over the blood test results because they were out of printing ink for over a week. The only good think is Kathy who works the office phone. She was very understanding and helpful.

Vet was very late for appointment. Staff do not have proper reception or assistant training. Staff currently have no post secondary education aside from Vet.
