This clinic has both positive and negative elements. Dr Low is awesome as was Dr Stewart. Only saw Dr Day once and she seemed not comfortable handling animals. She was very jumpy and actually made my dog snap which has never happened with anyone else. One of the receptionists can waste a lot of your time on the phone when making appointments by asking about the reason for the visit and then giving a “diagnosis” and treatment plan based on her personal experience as a pet owner. I don’t appreciate the unsolicited advice from someone who is unqualified especially when I’m in a hurry and just trying to book an appointment. Thankfully they now have the option of email bookings.

THEY SCRAPED SAMPLES TO LOOK UNDER A MICROSCOPE WITH EXACTO KNIFE (TAKING THE INSTRUMENT WITH HER). ODD PART IS THE LADY CAME BACK TO TAKE MORE SAMPLES. AS FAR AS I KNOW, THEY MAY HAVE INFECTED MY DOG WITH A PARASITE FOR WHICH THEY SOLD ME MEDICATIONS. WHOLE VISIT WAS ABOVE $300. THEY USE TEXTBOOK INFLUENCE TO SELL THEIR MEDIOCRE TREATMENTS.

I have been taking our two dachshund's to the Cabbagetown Pet Clinic for years. Dr. Day is amazing! She really connects with them. The entire staff is always friendly and treat "my boys" as part of my family. They do what makes sense when it comes to the overall well being of your pet. Never over charge or provide a service not needed at that time. The actual facility could use a face lift, but the friendly service from the staff makes up for it. My oldest long haired dachshund recently passed away after an amazing 17 years. His passing has been extremely difficult especially on that terrible and sad day. The entire staff was very accommodating and made room for us that day. They were very respectful to us and our situation. And although Dr. Day was not there, we did receive a hand written sympathy card from her which was very thoughtful and appreciated. We always receive calendar reminders for upcoming appointments as well as birthday cards. Overall, a great place to take your pets.
