If I could give this business zero stars I would. They are very unprofessional and need to be shut down! I took my dog in for emergency care and I was never updated on her condition. I had to call them and ask for a status report. I was told that I would be contacted by the doctor within 5-10 minutes each time I called but I didn’t receive a call. I waited two hours and had not heard anything about the condition or diagnosis of my dog. The doctor finally called me after I made contact with the staff two times stating that I was being rude to her staff. I replied ma’am, asking for a status report isn’t rude. She then began to talk aggressively and very rude to me stating that she was watching a dog die that’s why she couldn’t call me and that she didn’t have enough staff. She asked me had I been to an emergency room before. I was very taken aback by this question because I had been with my other dog who recently passed away. This is the most outstanding group of veterinarians and staff I have ever seen. Unfortunately I have recently lost three of my family members, a senior dog with gdv (twisted gut), a rescued pup with severe gi issues along with cancer, and my senior cat that was in heart failure. EMAEC was involved with all 3 and performed the right tests and procedures in line with my budget and my own personal expectations for their care. When it was time to let them go, EMAEC vets and staff were kind and compassionate and allowed me the time I needed to say goodbye while making sure my pets were no longer in any pain during their final hours. I have counted on this hospital for all 7 years that they have been in business for a variety of issues and no matter which vet, or tech, or front office person I dealt with I have always felt like they treated my babies as their own. It would be impossible for me to go anywhere else.
