We got a quote for a surgical procedure which we thought was expensive. We went to another vet for a second opinion and had exactly the same procedure done for less than a 1/3 of the price. Due to the high demand for Vet care the Chester Basin Animal Hospital are taking advantage and it borders on highway robbery. Do not use if you are all cost conscious!

Took my dog in to be spayed. She was sent home early because "she was ready to go". I was told she would probably sleep because she had had pain meds. When we got home she was in a lot of pain, crying and shaking. Called the vet and had to return for more meds that did not seem to help. She should have never been released early. The vet did a poor job of pain management. I will not return to this vet and strongly advise you to go anywhere else.

A little on the expensive side, but what vet isn't. You can usually get in for an appointment fairly quickly and they are usually very punctual. Excellent vet and the bonus of Dr Lisa, who specializes in dental. They are very caring and it is all about the animal, which is quite right. Staff very good and helpful.
