100% satisfied with Dr. Brown and his staff! Went to Dr. Brown with previous pets when he had Scugog Animal Hospital years ago and now at Southside Pet Clinic with my present fur babies! Wouldn't trust anyone else!

Dr Brown is the rudest Veterinarian I have ever come across. Being a professional in the field, I can't believe his atrocious bedside manner and his obvious lack of caring for the animals and clients. Some people may be happy with the service he gives but wait until you have an emergency and then you'll see how much he really cares. Twice I have had an emergency and he is impossible to deal with, I'll never go back.

I had no issues with Dr Brown and his staff however when my dog progressively got sicker and I felt Dr Brown's approach to be a little laid back (he's just an old dog, I was told), I went for a second opinion. Dr Brown was made aware when my dogs records were requested from the other vet. I then received a rudely worded letter in the mail stating that my cat would be better at another vets office if my dog is going elsewhere. He essentially fired me for getting a second opinion - which ended up being very serious (Cushings Disease). Not impressed with that unprofessional approach to customer service. Firing customers for getting second opinions??? Wow. Petty.

Dr. James Brown is one of the most compassionate and caring Vet's that I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. His first priority is always the well being of your Pet. The Staff reflect Dr. Brown's high level of professionalism. Thank you so much for the wonderful care you give my sweet "Abby".

They are awesome, caring, sensitive to your pets needs...Always ready to give helpful advice when asked...they don't rush you, they are patient as they listen and hear what the problem is...

The staff are very helpful and caring. The service is good and quick. It is good value for money. Dr. Jim Brown will be very helpful and honest as well as support you with your decisions for your pet.

Just a warning to pet owners that feed their dogs raw - this vet does not agree with it and kicked me out of their office. Dr.Brown called me nuts and told me that anyone who has a brain does not feed raw food to their dog. I respect difference of opinion but he was one of the rudest people I have ever dealt with. It would have been nice to be warned over the phone that they do not accept dogs that were fed raw.

Dr Jim is one of a kind. He actually cares for his patients and will go out of his way to keep costs down. Never to busy to answer questions and has a very gentle nature about himself. He has helped me save two kittens from death and he is terrific with my dog. The staff is fantastic. I can't say enough for this clinic. I have found the needle in the haystack so to speak. If you want your animal treated with respect and at a VERY reasonable cost this is the place for you.

Excellent communication to the owner about issues, and ways to treat your animals problems. Vet Jim has a very relaxed way about him, that makes you feel at ease. Very fair pricing and has on more than one occasion, gave me alternatives, which cost me less. He has changed my animal to a drug which costs less and seems to care that you are not paying more than necessary when possible. Very nice down to earth clinic.

So pleased to have found this vet. Very forthright, spends time developing a relationship with the animal and the owner. Excellent communication and animal handling skills. Clearly a vet concerned with the animal and outcomes rather than on selling products or services that are unwarranted. Would highly recommend and have done already to many of my friends in the area.

Recently came here after my vet retired. The staff are amazing and the vet does a great job. No unnecessary tests and he's not afraid to get on the floor with the big guys. Prices are very reasonable too!
