I first had to wait about a month before I could see the doctor for the first check up. The blood work was processed fine and I was asked by a nurse if I would like to get additional blood and urine work done since my cat is a senior. I asked if it was neccessary, and declined since it wasn't deemed completely neccessary, especially not in order to proceed with the cleaning.
On the day of his tooth cleaning Mr Albarracin notes that he noticed an abnormal heartrate which most likely was a sign of cardiomyopathy, a condition with which cats have 6-18 months to live if gone untreated. He also noted that my cat's chin was swolen and this was most likely a sign of cancer.
I fail to understand why Dr. Lee did not note my cat's heart condition. Mr Albarracin told me that this is due to the fact that the heart rate can fluctuate and the same results are not always found, but that does not explain why his swollen chin being a sign of a potential cancer was not noted.
