Failed to educate on possible issues when my cat started limping, took so long to get evidence-based tx guidance that the neurologist I took her to was appalled with the delayed consultation (day 18 since 1st reported & 2 hrs away).
A $11k surgery went from a 90-95% chance of full recovery to a 0-30% chance (since cat was fully paralyzed in both hinds by this point with no deep pain perception).
Lots of miscommunication!
Misdiagnosed cat asthma as herpes & brachycephalic breed. Cat almost died after her spinal decompression since it wasn't diagnosed over past 2.5 yrs.
I now have a disabled cat possibly for life with a collapsed lung lobe who can't use litterbox, walk, or stand.
The 4.5 hr long surgery was 9 days prior. She hasn't checked in or apologised for the delays, miscommunications, or taken any responsibility for her part in worsening my pets prognosis. She's made me the problem and had her new vet tech tell me she'll no longer give them care when asked for a Rx after

Dr Lara sylvester and her team are, in my opinion, consomate professionals in every way. Her dedication and pride is above reproach! If you love you pets as deeply as do I, and then, if fate grants you the opportunity of having a real relationship with such a dedicated team of professionals, then rest assured your loved ones will be provided with nurturing care they richly deserve. Think about this, this team, bound by love of animals, comes to the comfort of your home to provide you and your pets with the nurturing care you and your pets deserves. Seriously, it doesn't get any better than Dr Lara Sylvester and her team!

First when Dr. Sylvester started with my beloved pet she was wonderful & very caring..however as time went on this was not so & I am unsure as to why the dramatic change in her empathy & diagnosing abilities? The 2nd last visit she made to my home she not only misdiagnosed my little one, she made me believe his situation could be very grave..after only spending 5 mins. with him...she was VERY WRONG!!! I did not use the medication she said he needed I just went with my instincts as a lifelong pet owner & I am so grateful I did, as he was just fine, he has an allergy that affects him a great deal, & I have to use her services (now though only for benign reasons) the changes in how she treated both myself & my little one came about after I moved, I did live in quite a large beautiful home on the water, this change in her behaviour/treatment could be a coincidence but I don't think so, which means she prefers to deal with wealthy clients! Great & I thought I had found The Vet I so needed

The most amazing vet & team. Worth the wait to become a client. Extremely caring, knowledgeable, and connected, Dr S & Co always makes my boy a priority. So glad I got a second opinion a yr and a half ago, a proper diagnosis, and amazing care for my little guy incl lots of info on options, pain management, referral to an incredible surgeon, tons of supportive care during and afterwards, and her rates are extremely manageable, in fact they're less than I was paying at the other local place that was more expensive for 1/3rd of the care yet 8-10x the staffing size. Plus no stressful vet visits out of house, the cat is very appreciative of this!

Lara Sylvester is an amazing woman and vet. She came to my home on a Sunday evening and helped my dog to be comfortable until I could get him to our regular vet on Monday. she eased my panic and concern also with her wonderful personality. I’m so glad she was kind enough to come all the way to our home to help. I highly recommend her

Dr. Sylvester is absolutely amazing. That she comes to our house is a bonus, but her greatest attribute is in her caring not only for our dogs, but for us as dog owners. She was highly recommended to us some years ago and have followed her wherever her career and personal responsibilities have lead her. Most recently she had the grim task of diagnosing our 7-1/2yr `golden doodle' with Stage 3 carcinoma. Her empathy and compassion is helping us face a sad inevitability. Her professionalism, knowledge and personal skills and dedication to task are unquestionably outstanding. Our Ellie Mae will always be in our hearts as will Dr. Sylvester. Thank you. How can it get any better. The veterinarian will come to your house. She'll even do surgeries, xrays and other services as she has arrangements with other facilities in the area.
