I brought one of my rabbits to see Dr. Marku and I was absolutely shocked by the way he was handled. The doctor pulled my rabbit out of the carrier and proceeded to try and lay him on his back. My rabbit was having an anxiety attack while this was happening and was twisting and turning struggling to get away. In fear that the rabbit would break his spine or suffer a heart attack I asked Dr marku to please stop and place the rabbit back into the carrier. Dr marku smiled and chuckled whilst still restraining my rabbit. I had force the rabbit out of his arms. When I discussed my concerns with his technique he became aggressive and argued that this was indeed the best way to proceed. I have three other rabbits and I have met with 3 other exotic vets in the past and never have I ever seen anything like this. Rabbits are very easily frightened animals, but the exotic vets I have seen in the past and present are able to proceed without distressing the animal or causing injury
