Wonderful cat clinic. Dr Du Pont is the most caring vet I have had! She treats you cat as if it was hers! She spends time talking and explaining what she feels needs to be done and why! She was the only vet to suggest my kittens be tested for cat scratch fever bacteria! They tested positive and were treated. I have had cats all my life and no one ever suggested this be fine. She follows up with phone calls and you never feel rushed. The vet techs and office staff are caring and treat the cats so well. I would never trust my cats to anyone else but Dr. Du Pont and her staff!

IF YOU LOVE YOUR ANIMAL, YOU WILL NEVER TAKE IT THERE. These people are the most unprofessional, uncaring people I have ever dealt with and caused me more grief than I can tell you on here. They hurt my cat, gave him back to me with a nail missing, had the AUDACITY to charge me an arm and a leg and when I got perturbed that no one had seen my cat after dropping him off at 8:00 in the morning and calling at 4:00 and nothing had been done, they wrote me a letter telling me I wasn't welcome back. I hope someone in authority reads this and does a thorough investiagation of that facility and shuts them down. NEVER again. Take your cat to Cats Limited in West Hartford, pay a bit more money, but get FANTASTIC service and caring people.

Receptionists use the "bait and switch" technique to get you in there. Then your bill suddenly is padded for twice what you were told. Vet is lazy, fat, sloppy, and incompetent. I actually question whether he (Dr. Braun) is really qualified as a vet! My cat had procedures that either I did not request or

Was looking for information otherwise and came across this site. A few years back, i brought my cat in after a chiropractor suggested a vet take xrays of my cats elbow. The vet at Catz. was as rude and condecending as one could be. She had no respect for the chiropractor's suggestion for exam and his thought on the problem. The elbow is VERY painful (diagnosed later by a Vet in Avon CT as degenerative joint and torn ligaments). The vet at Catzablanca had no regard for the pain it caused my cat and flipped her around, shoved her on the table, etc etc. I was applalled but did not come to my senses until too much went on. VEt took xrays at the end and admitted that there was some kind of problem. This woman has grave personality issues and should not be allowed to handle animals. I wrote the owner of the clinic explaining what went on. She wroe back saying dont ever bring my animals back to her clinic!...period. She was not concerned.

While I do find their prices a little high, I have been very happy with my service there. A little over a year ago my mom found a kitten on the side of the highway and when we rushed him there, they immediately accepted him. They told me the truth up front that he might not survive the night. He was severely dehydrated, had dual eye infections, a respiratory infection, starving and was only about 3 weeks old. He is now an EXTREMELY healthy 14 month old after their treatment during that horrible time and afterwards. They have also taken good care of my other two cats. After being fixed, my female cat was up and about much faster than expected and the scarring was very minimal. I feel pressured at points to spend more money on additional procedures but I have learned to say no.

HOW DO YOU SPELL RIPOFF? Try C-A-T-Z-A-B-L-A-N-C-A. Don't confuse good acting with good customer service and quality care. They ARE very sales oriented and will fawn over your pet to make you feel good and commit to a treatment program. Catzaripoff would be a better name! Vets slow to return calls. Owner, Dr. Linda Dupont, Drs. Sears & Mango slow (if ever) to return calls. Unable to diagnose better than your online research. Cat suffered needlessly and will probably die due to their negligence & disregard for life and illness. They only seem to care when cat is in office and they can make a buck. No vets on call for emergencies either. Tapazole generic $23.40 Catzablanca, 15 tablets. $29.99 on line, 100 tabs. They don't donate time or space to save a sick animal when owners can't afford outrageously overpriced priced pet care. They do care, but only about the bucks, not your cat.

I wouldn't take my cat here. I called Catzablanca immediatly after my cat was in contact with a stray kitten that passed away a couple days after it was found. Naturally I was concerned that my cat may have contracted something from the kitten so I called Catzablanca to make an appointment ASAP. The lady on the phone inconsiderate and down right rude. I wasn't allowed to speak to a vet and was told that it was not important for my cat to be seen and to get its booster shots (which they were informed were 6 months over due). In addition because I was a new customer,(I moved to CT only 2 months prior to the phone call) I was going to have to wait approximately 2 months for an appointment. Absolutely ridiculous. I will not be taking any of my cats here.

Dr. Linda Dupont (owner) is fantastic. My cats have been traveling a half hour to see her for the past 12 years. I trust her implicitly, she's kind and knowledgable and LOVES cats! I recommend her (in particular) most highly. Haven't been thrilled with the other vets there...make sure you ask for Dr. Linda. She has a terrific "bedside manner" with felines. Not to mention up-to-date on all the latest technology, surgery and acupuncture.
