I brought my cat in because she was feeling bloated and not passing stool. I suggested that she may be constipated. The vet said I needed an x-ray and quoted me $350-$360. After the x-rays were done, I was handed a bill for $700 for the x-rays in addition to a few other charges including an exam, a laxative and some fluids. Total was $900. I feel completely ripped off

I've been bringing my cat here for a few years. They've been pretty good to us so far. I find their consult prices much more fair than other vets in the area. Excellent availability so far and the vet's diagnosis/treatment so far has been spot on. I have yet to be recommended a test that I feel is overkill/a money grab, but I also haven't taken a very sick pet into his clinic yet so I can't comment on that just yet. I feel like the vet (Dr. Sjonnesen) genuinely loves animals. He doesn't rush his consults/checkups, my guess is he may be a bit of a perfectionist. I love that he has (had?) a blog and that this clinic is active on Facebook, I learn quite a bit about dangers in the home that I wasn't even aware of through their fb page/website. Compared to my old vet in Brampton, this guy is spectacular.

I have been taking my last 2 dogs to Malton Vet, I honestly never felt so ripped off in my life. I have been getting "all" vaccines for both dogs each year. I recently transferred veterinarians and I wouldn't believe my records for BOTH DOGS. I have been paying around 200$/per dog every year to only receive a 1 yr rabies vaccine, when I have been asking for Distemper, Bord, Lepto, and Rabies. not just the one vaccine. I feel like they owe me. Wonder who else they did that too! When I euthanized my last dog. The vet came in with the bag and said "sorry I didn't know you were still here". I wasn't even in the room for 2mins after my dog passed. Sure cut my last minutes with my poor bubs though.
