This clinic is the most caring clinic I have ever gone to. Dr. Matthew is the best, she finds alternate ways to help in the cost she cares about our pets, they call the next day to see how they are doing, not staff but Dr. Matthew herself calls. I totally recommend if you want your pets in kind caring hands take them to Sandy Lane Pet Clinic.

Been going here for 2 years, has keep my dog alive longer, he is over 19 years old and has enlarged heart and fluids build up because of this, if it was not for dr Matthews care my baby wouldn't still be with me.

Vet makes you feel like the worst person in the world if your pet is sick. Discriminates against low income families and forces you to sign surrender papers. Will tell you that you're lucky they're even helping you when low income. Will tell you that you're lucky they answered the phone when you call to find out about your pet. Will tell you to take negative reviews down because it reflects badly on them. Zero compassion for families going through a rough time. Only worried about money. Will never recommend.

This clinic is awesome friendly help and most of all save your cat life after another vet made him very sick!! NOW he is a whole new cat. I will never change vets again!! My plan now is to tell every one I can the she is the best vet we have ever had. She all so tell you just what she thinks and if you can really help you or it is time to just let the animal go to animal heaven!! So every one out there please give the a try i'm shore you will be happy with her get work. THANK YOU SANDY LANE

I have taken my 2 year old cat to this Vet for the past 2 years, since this clinic opened. I have always been treated well by any of the staff. My cat is always nervous but the staff and Vet are gentle and caring towards her. The vet took time to explain how to do certain care for my cat - it was appreciated! I always find vet costs high so am never happy with the costs. But, I believe the costs are in line with other vet and clinic locations. I expect to return regularly to this clinic.

I took my pup and my kitty to see Dr.Mathew she was amazing with them. Tilly & Toopy are now both spade, happy & healthy! The staff was great and the clinic is clean and has a warm friendly atmosphere. I will be taking my pets to see Dr.Mathew for years to come. If you love your pets you need this Vet!!!

We have seen several clinics here in Edmonton and Dr. Mathews is the best. All the staff here are amazing and extremely caring. Their nr 1 goal is the pet, while a lot of other places I've come across care more for the money. You will see the difference when you have to deal with a corporation who owns several vet clinics and cares only about the cash flow and transforming doctors into sales reps. We went to such a hospital and were being asked to pay upfront a ridiculous amount of money and to pay for exams the vets themselves did not seem convinced they were necessary. My impression was they they were being forced to sell to meet their targets. Dr. Mathews obtained much better results will much less money, and she had many years of experience both in surgery and internal medicine.

I've been bringing my puppy here since I got him at 12 weeks. He's been here for vaccines,neutering,and when he's sick.he gets so excited to go to the clinic to see the staff, the girls make him feel so comfortable! He's been recently diagnosed with kennel cough. I was able to get him in right away and was given medications. Dr.Mathew went over each medication & explained what they were,when to give, and what they help which was extremely helpful! They followed up to see how he was feeling a few days after. They are so caring! I recommend this clinic to everyone who has fur babies!

Took my dog here when he got sick, and Dr Mathew was extremely helpful and compassionate, explained all the needed procedures and the prices. Prices are very affordable compared to other places. The staff were all friendly and you could tell they all loved animals. It was a calm atmosphere and very well put togethet. I felt very at ease with everything and my dog seemed relaxed as well. I will be back for sure and will tell my friends.

BEWARE Over the Easter long weekend my dog was presenting with an infection in his foot that required antibiotics. Tragically, I was unable to get in with my regular vet and ended up at the Sandy Lane Clinic in hopes of getting my boy some help to hold him over for the weekend, as he was having difficulty walking due to the infected leg. In leau of prescribing the necessary antibiotic treatment Dr Mathews insisted on adjusting all the medication my dog was on for his arthritis. This "vet" assisted in pushing my dog into renal failure after administering a "loader dose" of meloxicam to my senior dog who had been taking meloxicam daily for 3 years for arthritis. She also prescribed daramaxx which is a known drug interaction with meloxicam. Her ineptness and negligence resulted in my 11 year old dog dying from renal failure two days after visiting her clinic. DO NOT GO TO THIS VET.

I was at the clinic with my sick dog and was not sure what was wrong Dr Mathew thoroughly examined her very well and gave us the best option, treated her and we are back home safe and happy.We would recommend anyone to this Clinic Great prices for great treatment. .

I feel very bad for the emploees who work for that vet. I was there with my dog a few weeks ago and the way the vet treated the girl was absolutely unacceptable and made me feel very uncomfortable. I can't imagine what it's like behind closed doors. I will never go back.

Very unsatisfied with this vet. The vet seemed to be scared of my dog. She would not touch her or hold her or give her a treat from her hand and couldn't even remember for the duration of the appointment that my dog was a "her". I took my dog there for kennel cough and Dr. Mathew hardly did an examination at all as she wouldn't get close enough to my dog to do so. My dog was obviously a bit nervous being at the clinic but was not acting in anyway that a vet with over 10 years of experience should be nervous. I will not be returning to this vet for regular visits, if I am paying for an examine I expect my dog to get one.
