Click to report rating    12/10/17   1     1     1     1   I would never in a million years take my beloved family member back to this clinic. Incompetence, lack of compassion, failure to disclose pertinent information, botched tests, and more. I would not recommend this clinic to anybody. RID: 65186
Click to report rating    2/17/15   1     4     2     3   I took my 10 yr old dog to see Dr. Terry Eisen after his coughing was excessive & he was becoming increasingly fatigued. She told me he needed $1000 in tests (which I could not afford at the time) or he should be put down. I panicked, cried & left without any way to help him. He has been my best friend for over a decade. In the meantime a friend told me you could receive significant discounts from the BC SPCA if you could not afford certain treatments at a local vet clinic. I called Dr. Eisen & her staff confirmed that you could get less expensive rates at the BC SPCA if you qualified. Why did they not tell me this before? My dog could have died during that time. I immediately took my dog to the BC SPCA. He was diagnosed with life threatening heart & lung disease. He is now on daily meds and is able to go for short walks, play & is experiencing a good quality of life. I would NEVER recommend Dr. Terry Eisen. RID: 55917
4/1/14   2     3     5     1   We have been going there for years with our dog and like the staff and the vets but unfortunately do not have faith in their abilities. Our dog has had a bladder infection three times in the past five months and every time we have taken her there, they charge us for a urine sample to send to a lab for testing. Every single time they have not called back to give us the test results and have actually lost the samples. The first time it happened they claimed they changed their policies so that it wouldn't happen again at which time they took another sample and once again lost it and didn't call. Have since moved clinics and can now see their incompetence when compared. Would not recommend taking your pet there. RID: 50816

Click to report rating    12/6/13   5     5     5     5   I have gone to this clinic for 13 years with various dogs and our cat. There has never been anything other than first class care and treatment. Dr Terry Eisen is the best, most knowledgable, considerate vet I have ever been to. Love love love her! RID: 48627

8/3/13   1     3     1     1   I just had the most upsetting experience with Dr. Terry Elsen. I took my dog in for a 9am appointment. I received a quick hello when I arrived, then was ignored from the time I arrived at 8:50 until the time I finally spoke up at 9:10, at which time I asked if the doctor had arrived, I was told rather rudely I was suppose to be only dropping my dog off. News to me?! A few minutes later Terry arrive, and I was take into the exam room where I was chewed out!! Terry insisted that she told me the day before that I was only dropping my dog off. I had my other dog with me so she called in an assistant. When I gave the dog to the assistant to hold so I could hold my other dog on the table, Terry went off on me. I was completely shocked, and in disbelief. I started to cry. I cannot ever image treating a paying customer, or anyone, this way. She may be good with animals but she sure sucks with humans I could never, ever, image treating a paying customer this way, and with such great disrega RID: 46066
Click to report rating    5/23/13   1     1     1     1   Terry is very rude and bully type of person to our I will never go to this clinic . If a person is so bad to human how could she be nice to animals! RID: 42660
Click to report rating    5/21/13   5     5     5     5   Very punctual, efficient & caring service, reasonable rates compared to some of the other clinics I surveyed. Results for the tests were quick and the vet called me with them. My cat is now fully recovered. Thank you. RID: 42612
11/2/12   5     5     5     5   Our cat came home with a lame hind leg. We went to the Arbutus West Clinic because their office is close by. Their main vet said: he pulled a tooth out from the groin area but our cat was probably hit by a car or kicked; there were no fractures but our cat required orthopedic surgery to repair torn knee ligaments; and may need a prosthesis. We felt very uncomfortable with the hard sell for both dental and knee surgery. We took our cat to see Dr. Eisen for a second opinion. She said our cat probably had a sore leg from a fight and was concerned about an infection developing. After two days, our cat is running around like nothing happened. If you want surgery and months of rehab to treat a tooth puncture, go to Arbutus West Clinic. If you want to treat an infection with an antibiotic, go see Dr. Eisen. RID: 38230
Click to report rating    5/14/11   4     4     5     5   Great Vet. Have had really good experiences with how they treat our dog Max. RID: 25001
Click to report rating    1/21/11   1     1     1     1   Dr. Terry Eisen gave my cat eye hydrocortisone (hc) eye drops WITHOUT first checking for a corneal ulcer (she should have used a special dye). Turned out he did have a corneal ulcer! He could have gone blind because of her. I would NEVER go back to her. RID: 22233
Click to report rating    11/17/10   1     1     1     1   These guys are cheap, but you get what you pay for. I was very dissapointed at how my case was handled. It does have a "homey" feel to it, and I'm sure they are ok with vaccinations and stuff, but would rather see someone more professional when my dear furry friend needs medical aid. RID: 20916
Click to report rating    3/22/08   5     4     5     4   Dr. Eisen has a great way with our dogs. She doesn't over medicate and seems to be honest and knowledgeable. RID: 7794
