I recently took my dog to him for a small bump that appeared on her body. He did a fine needle aspiration, but the results were inconclusive. Dr. Seto said a second sample wouldn’t help, but assured me that removing the bump wasn't a big deal, quoting around $2,000 for the surgery. Thankfully I went for a second opinion.
The second vet IMMEDIATELY insisted on another sample, and they discovered the bump was cancerous. What’s even scarier? He explained that Dr. Seto was not qualified to handle this because the tumor was underneath the muscle. A trained, board-certified surgeon was needed—yet Dr. Seto had completely missed this and was ready to operate without any further checks.
A third specialist confirmed that surgery could be extremely dangerous given the size and location of the tumor. Had I followed Dr. Seto's advice, my dog would have undergone a procedure that could have spread the cancer and put her life in even more danger—by someone who wasn’t even qualified to perform i

I have lived in St Henri since 1991 and I have chosen to drive to find a good vet for my many animals. For years it was " Baker's Animal Hospital" Then to NDG for some very great service. Now that Dr.Seto has opened a clinic on Notre Dame St. I consider it to be a blessing for the whole community. I do not say this lightly. It is simply one of the best places I have ever taken an animal. It is my hope that in the future Dr. Seto's clinic will be also open for a time on Sundays. Daniel Adams

Dr. Elkin Seto, formerly of NDG's Animal Health Clinic, opened his own clinic very recently. He has an excellent reputation as a talented and skillful surgeon, and is very capable performing more difficult procedures, as well. It is not often that one meets a vet whose superb medical abilities combine with compassion and an excellent bedside manner. My pets are patients of Dr. Seto, and I speak from first-hand knowledge of his skills and professional demeanor.
