We have nothing but the highest praise for the very kind and caring veterinarians at North West Nuclear Medicine for Animals, who recently treated our 12 year old foster cat George! He is now well on the road to full recovery, thanks to the truly fabulous care he received there. Since his treatment several months ago he's been doing extremely well. We're thrilled that his thyroid levels are now within the normal range, and that he no longer needs any Tapizol. We are beyond grateful to see him looking so happy and healthy. George was a neighbourhood stray who was found emancipated and near death. Among a host of other health problems, he was very hyperthyroid (see before and after photo). This is the second time we have brought one of our cats to NWNMA. We also brought our 17 year old hyperthyroid cat there five years ago. Her treatment was also a great success. Her hyperthyroid condition was completely cured and she lived 3 more years to the ripe old age of 20 (she passed away d

Our cat had hyperthyroidism and would not take his medications. He as not well, so we decided on our vet's recommendation to take him to NW Nuclear Medicine for Animals to knock out the thyroid growths. It was not an easy decision, but we had excellent service from the all the vets., especially Dr. Sheila, from the time we inquired, hesitated, to the time we decided to go ahead. They paid for his flight from Comox to Vancouver and back. They picked him up, and returned him to the airport and treated our sensitive kitty with great care, attention and humor. They have always been accessible both before, during and after his treatment. I had many questions which were answered quickly and with generosity of time. I would highly recommend this clinic for any pet owner considering this treatment.
