I’ve taken my 6 year old dog to beatties Ancaster since he was a pup. All he needed was yearly exams/vaccines and preventatives so it was fine for that. I took him a couple of weeks ago for his yearly checkup/shots and the vet called later that evening saying he had tested positive for Lyme disease... and that he had also tested positive the year prior .. which no one from the clinic told me about!! No apologies or anything. My dog has had Lyme for at least over a year now. I switched vets, got the blood work done and his levels for Lyme were quite high, he on antibiotics now. So negligent of Beatties! I’m so upset with them.

Beatties in Ancaster gives me very mixed feelings. On one hand, they have several staff members who are beyond caring and extremely thorough. They also have great facilities that are always well kept. However, I have several issues with this clinic. Their prices really do reflect the level of care you receive. A wellness exam is just a rough feel of your pet and check their mouth, in 4 years they've never checked heartbeat, temperature, or nails/feet. They also are rarely on time and constantly run late. I also find that they forget to update/inform owners. I've left plenty of times without full knowledge of what is going on with my pet, incomplete email updates, and no callbacks. While you do save a considerable amount of money here, they are extremely frustrating to work with. I highly recommend only utilizing them if in a rush. Plenty of other clinics offer more services and better quality with just a slight price increase.
