Click to report rating    2/24/21   2     3     1     2   There are some vets who come across as being truly passionate about their work. Others appear to treat it as a job. Client in, pay, client out. This is Dr. Quinn. The fees for a consultation are high (a visit cost us $460). Nobody answers the phones. Waited 45 minutes outside. Our dog is not a fan of the muzzle so he was whining while wearing it inside the facility. Dr. Quinn was extremely irritated with this. His tests were not conclusive of our dog's eye condition but he gave us what he thought might be the case - followed by, "sure, I can run more tests but that'll cost you another $600." He might be great in terms of knowledge but it came across as a full-on money grab. Even had to pay extra $ to get an "emergency" appointment. Our dog is going blind and has blood in his eyes. Sorry if we don't want him to suffer or permanently lose his vision... and thanks for taking advantage of the situation by charging us extra. Wish there were more options to go elsewhere in the future. RID: 69822

Click to report rating    6/8/20   1     3     3     2   Very rude pushy woman over the phone. No time to talk about anything other than on her terms. More to come RID: 69302
Click to report rating    5/7/18   2     3     1     1   I called to book a simple breeder's CERF and Dr Quinn will do nothing less than a full 50 minute appointment. I don't know if this is taking financial advantage of a potential client or the arrogance of having a monopoly in ophthalmology services in the London area. Dr Quinn will not even return my call despite several requests. I'm really at a loss to understand why a responsible breeder such as myself is being treated this way. RID: 66086
Click to report rating    9/14/17   3     5     4     5   the monetary value was great because they charged us nothing. Our experience was horrible. The Dr entered the exam room without ever acknowledging my dog. He never talked to or approached the dog. He had me put him up on the exam table. Had me put a muzzle on him which I told him was going to go bad. My dog had a very bad reaction to the muzzle. He is a 6 month old Australian Shepard. The dr then had him jump off the table. Told me my dog is psychotic and a loaded bomb waiting to explode. The eye was never looked at. There was no charge. He told me the dogs reaction to the muzzle was not normal and that the dog will attack someone if not treated by a behaviorist. I left crying and not sure what to do next. I will never take a dog back to this dr. He made a point of telling me he does everything possible to make the pet feel safe. I feel he did nothing. Stay away from this dr. RID: 64634
Click to report rating    8/24/17   5     5     5     5   Dr. Quinn and his staff are excellent! Our dog had an indolent ulcer and our vet referred us to Dr. Quinn. He was able to fix the ulcer without surgery! We followed his instructions to the letter and it saved us the cost of surgery. Both Dusty and Christina at the desk were awesome and accommodating to our schedules and we received care immediately. Dr. Quinn explained everything thoroughly to us,we were so fortunate to have such a knowledgeable and personable specialist to help our Brussels Griffon. He comes with our highest recommendations. We were scared and uncertain with our dog's condition, and we were so relieved to have him treat her. She is doing terrific. RID: 64508
Click to report rating    4/18/17   5     5     5     5   Dr. Quinn was absolutely wonderful. I would highly recommend him! My dog needed to be seen urgently, so he opened his clinic early so he could see her and he was very accommodating of my difficult schedule. Getting him to examine my dog's eyes was very beneficial to my pet and definitely worth the money. He is extremely knowledgeable and really took the time to thoroughly explain everything to me to ensure that I understood. He was very kind, sweet and compassionate. You can really tell that he loves his job and that he truly cares for your pets. RID: 63382
Click to report rating    1/26/17   2     4     5     1   Dr. Quinn is WELL past his expiry date as a surgeon. He botched our pet's procedure and brushed it off as a 'challenging case'. Our vet reviewed his surgical note and seriously questioned his use of antiquated anaesthesia drugs. The fees are as ridiculous as his house next to the clinic. 300$ consult fee, huge surgical fee and your follow up visits will run you 170$ each. AVOID. RID: 62472
Click to report rating    12/14/16   5     5     5     5   Dr. Quinn was absolutely fantastic. Since our case was urgent, he opened up his practice earlier in the morning so we could get a next-day urgent appointment. He was warm, kind, friendly, and above all, extremely knowledgeable. He explained everything in terms that I could comprehend and gave us options. He handled my kitten with care and made sure all of our questions were answered. Luckily my kitten's eyes were normal internally and did not need any additional testing other than the consult. On the way out, he informed us he would not charge us the urgent appointment fee (305+tax) and instead charged us for the regular consultation fee (250+tax). This made a huge difference for me as a student. I am so pleased by the care Dr. Quinn and his lovely reception staff provided. If my pets need any specialized eye care in the future, I will definitely be returning here as I have absolute trust in Dr. Quinn. I won't go anywhere else. RID: 62203

8/18/16   5     5     5     5   My dog has been given excellent care by Dr. Quinn and how staff. Dr. Quinn explained everything clearly and explained all the options which was very helpful at a stressful time. His care saved the vision in both of my dog's eyes. Top quality care does cost a lot. Costs here are comparable to other top-notch facilities in Ontario. RID: 61362
8/19/14   1     2     2     1   i was referred to this doctor.. and although I can not tell you how he was, I am able to tell you that the woman I spoke with to book the appointment was cold and rude.. I was needing to book an appointment with some urgency .. really needed this doctor's opinion, She only had one opening, would not even try to help us make it work.. was very firm on the 280.00 dollars to walk through the door, and that there was a cancellation fee if not given 24 hours notice.. so " be sure you commit to this " .. no care or compassion.. I can not describe to you her tone, I ended the conversation by cancelling.. and letting her know how uncomfortable she made me feel.. Again I am not able to describe to you how awful she was. I have called my own doctor back to make arrangements, and am praying that nothing happens to my baby in the mean time. I hear this doctor is very good, its a shame he has people like this in his office, as I will miss out on his expertise because of her. RID: 53144
Click to report rating    8/15/12   5     5     5     5   Dr. Quinn performed emergency surgery on our dog, who had a perforated retina from an attack by another dog. The surgery was very successful, Dr. Quinn was kind and gentle with our dog and the staff amazingly helpful. I can't say enough good things about our experience at the clinic...would recommend to anyone! Two years later, our dog's vision is excellent. RID: 36536
Click to report rating    11/28/10   3     5     3     1   My dog needed entropion surgery. The consult appt is over $200 for him to tell you that he's been doing this for 25+ years and has only ever had 2 dogs with failed surgeries, but assured me that our surgery would not fail. Before I could see my girl after surgery, I had to pay the inconceivably high bill of $1300+, only to realize that they were worse than before! Stitches in both upper and lower lids, but absolutely no change in appearance or condition of her eyes! COMPLETE FAILED SURGERY. Did we get any money back? NOPE. Could I have booked another appt to see him again....sure for another $200 (and then-some). I found an amazing Vet in Mississauga who has fixed her eyes...with not one single problem since! The cost of that surgery..$285. I would never recommend Dr.Quinn/this clinic to anyone. He's an extortionist.....he knows full well that most people will do ANYTHING for their pets and he takes full advantage of that! Steer clear from here! ct6670@yahoo.ca RID: 21128
Click to report rating    3/27/08   1     3     3     3   The staff told us to wait half hour outside the facilities .We were the only one in the waiting room with our Bernese Mountain Dog. The dog was sitting and behaving like an example dog. No problem what so ever. First the staff refused to administer the eye dropps into my dogs eyes. They told me to do it. I was suprised but did it anyway. Then I started to fill out aplication form. I haven't finished filling up aplication yet but the receptionist told me to wait outside . I asked what was the problem. She just said ,,Oh nothing but its just best if you wait outside.,, It was late March. Minus 5C outside. And she closed the door behind her. I just took my dog and left. Rude!Very bed reception! I would not recomend this place for your animal. If they are like that with people imagine how they treat animals. RID: 7844
