As a pedigree cat breeder, it's paramount that I have a great veterinarian that I can work with and trust. Dr. Erin and the staff have always been compassionate, knowledgeable, and friendly. The hospital services are well-priced, and I never feel financially taken advantage of. Even though we moved out of Nanaimo, I never thought twice about keeping Dr. Erin as my veterinarian. I highly recommend this animal hospital.

Absolutely disgusted with the staff and "vet" at this location
How f.king dare you tell me my training is wrongful and as a welfare check. I will NEVER come back
Between an uneducated, snobby vet and staff that are SO stinky
This place smells. And not the good kind
We all know a snake in the grass when we see one.
AVOID THIS PLACE!!
IVE TOLD EVERYONE I KNOW IN THE DOG,CAT & HORSE COMMUNITY THAT YOU SHAME OWNERS BECAUSE YOU DONT AGREE WITH THEM

Tried this Clinic as was close to home and was new. While Dr Sandi was ok the other female Dr was not.She had no clue what was wrong with my dog and at one point told me to continue with the 2 creams when we were only ever using 1.She told me Dr Sandi did not give me pain meds as not in file and when I showed her filled prescription bottle she said Dr Sandi forgot to right it in file(unprofessional record keeping).I was charged an extra $10 for the prescription as I wanted to fill it at a drug store even though my bill was $500.She wanted to put my dog under anesthetic for skin scraping at which point we went to another clinic for a 2nd opinion. Took 2 weeks to get in for appt due to Covid and by then our girl was suffering kidney failure. It was determined not only was she put on wrong meds by this Dr but it wasn't even right dose for her weight. As far as I am concerned she killed my dog with her incompetency.Front end staff were nice so that's why I gave a 3 for staff.DO NOT GO HERE!!

Dr Sandi and staff are caring, knowledgeable and professional.Even though my cat has an fighting dislike of trips to the vet, she is handled with loving care, and I feel very fortunate to have her health looked after here.

Tried Harbour City Animal Hospital last week as ear issues persisted after visiting another local Vet and was blown back how caring they were not to mention very affordable.Paid $225 for a very thorough (head to toe) exam, culture test X2, ear meds, and 10 day antibiotics (nail infection) for a large breed dog (so higher dose needed). What amazed me most is tonight (a week later) I got a follow up call asking how treatment was working and if progress was being visibly noticed. I have never had a vet do this to show they actually care about the pet and not just their wallet.Being a fairly new Vet in Nanaimo I just hope with all the raves they get they remain affordable. I am so pleased I have finally found a loving, caring Vet close to home for my girl since our last caring Vet was in Duncan and tried a few in Nanaimo hoping to find what we found in Harbour City Animal Hosp FINALLY!!!! Thank-you all and Angel says arf arf also!

They have bent over backwards to do everything they can for my dog and me. Their entire crew are the most compassionate and kind people. They really listen to my concerns. Dr. Sandie even took my dog home to her house because I was too scared she would get too dehydrated on my watch. When I took my dog to emergency in the middle of the night, Dr. Sandie sent all the medical records to them as to not waste time and money gathering the information, Aslo done at 1am.
