We brought our dog here after hours, this being the only ER in North Vancouver. We were given an estimate that seemed very expensive but what choice do you have when you are sincerely distraught and vulnerable with a sick pet. After overnight stay was delighted to get a call that our animal was doing well. It was recommended that our dog remain in their care at least the rest of the day when a final blood panel would be done. I agreed at the time, but in hindsight, now being regular hours, we should have been given the option to have our regular vet take over care since the Emergency was "over". Instead our healthy dog was kept on IV the rest of the day racking up more charges in this self-admittedly expensive clinic (See google reviews). Punctuality was given a 2 as was told would get a call after bloodwork and had to harass them for a response just to pick-up our beloved pet. In future will drive further and use another more trustworthy clinic if ER afterhours care is required.

They charged a referral fee that other vets do not charge or charge at a much lower price. I questioned the fee when I saw it on my invoice and was told it was standard, very vet charges and they will not provide a refund. Bad business practices.
