My baby skunk died after a routine surgery and then given an rx linked to skunk deaths & "should never be used" from The Skunk Haven (Skunk specialist)
Her necropsy showed she had pneumonia that either no one saw prior to surgery, or my poor baby aspirated during the surgery and they did not properly treat her afterwards.
The vet (Dr Kanfir) did not have the baby on an IV-she used sub q instead/ she did not thoroughly monitor her during or after her surgery- & said "From now on we will place IV catheters and give IV fluids, and monitor the blood pressure more closely."
Three weeks after my Petunia died from this botched treatment-they actually billed my credit card for $800.
I have emailed repeatedly for my records and am disputing their charges. They have not sent my records-and their office manager Aprile sent me an email stating that having a pet die during what should be a routine surgery 'sometimes happens' they had expenses to pay, and so they are entitled to charge
