Very disappointed with the results of my dog's anal gland removal. The Doctor said that if the anal gland was infected during surgery it actually helped make the surgery easier. Nine months later his anus is deformed and bleeds causing him pain during bowel movements. New vet yesterday said he will have lifelong problems due to a big area of muscle gone in his anus on the side that was infected. Get a specialist for this surgery.
