Ventana has been caring for our dogs for 17 years, then Dr. Heinrick retired and sold it to VCA. Our 18 year old Pom has been on heart medication for five years. It is keeping him alive. Our prescription is renewed monthly and he goes in for yearly checkups. We called to renew our prescription (3 medications) and VCA said they will not renew it until they see the dog. Okay, problem is they can't see the dog for 45 days. No medication for 45 days? He'll be dead by then. They have always renewed the medication and he goes in for his checkup. New VCA rule we're told. How cruel and uncaring of VCA. We are frantically looking for a new Vet as he is out of his medication. VCA doesn't care. Once they even mixed up the medication. Thank goodness I always double check. Do not go there ever!!!
