Click to report rating    2/26/25   1     1     1     1   I’m leaving this review in honor of my beloved cat, Pinkie, who passed away recently. Pinkie, a rare and special Turkish Van Cat with a unique personality, became suddenly ill. We took him to Midtown Veterinary Medical Center, hoping for compassionate care. Instead, we were met with apathy. They pressured us into expensive tests ($950-$1250) without clear answers, and when we couldn’t afford it, Dr. Wahlquist made dismissive comments like, "The government does not subsidize pets." We left with Pinkie, a shaved arm (unexplained), and no pain meds—only for animal control to show up at our home minutes later, called by the vet. At another clinic, simple bloodwork revealed kidney failure, and we had to euthanize him. Midtown Veterinary failed us in every way. Learn from our experience: choose care with compassion, not judgment. Pinkie deserved better. RID: 71223
