I am sharing my experience at Encino Pet Hospital so other pet owners can make an informed decision.
After requesting my pet’s release, it took over two hours for him to be returned to me, with minimal and unclear communication throughout.
I was advised that my pet needed exploratory surgery, which was presented in a manner that felt aggressive and fear-based, particularly by the hospital manager, creating pressure to consent to an invasive procedure. I later took my pet to a different veterinary center, where I was told the surgery was not medically necessary.
This experience caused significant emotional distress not only for me as the pet owner, but also for my pet, who was visibly stressed. It left me questioning whether recommendations were made solely in my pet’s best interest.
I strongly encourage other pet owners to seek a second opinion before agreeing to major procedures and to carefully evaluate their choice of veterinary care. I would not return back to this vet center.
