Dr. Longo ran blood tests on my dog at my request. A few days later I called and spoke to him and he told me everything was fine. When I requested the lab work results I found out that he lied or didn’t care: the results reported by the lab said my dish had pancreatitis and very elevated liver values. Is this what Dr Longo considers “fine”? If you love your pet stay away from this guy

Dr. Longo and his staff are the best. They are efficient and caring. I have 3 cats that are 12 & 13 yrs. I had to change vest a short time ago and Dr. Longo was recommended to me. He is so caring and understanding. My 13 yr old developed cancer and it was at the point where she was unable to eat. When I took her in for her "final" visit,Dr. Longo came in and spent quite a bit of time explaining how it was going to be done. When the shots were administered, via IV port, Dr. Longo was so gentle and caring. They have a special "comfort" room where this takes place. It is so much better than an exam room. They let me stay there, with my cat, for as long as I needed. One of my best friends take his 2 dogs to this clinic and said he would not go anywhere else. He said they are the best. I agree!!!

Dr. Longo and staff are compassionate and I believe truly care for you, your financial situation and your pet. They are normally on time unless an emergency case has presented itself. I have never been turned away for either of my dogs on a last minute notice. They are open 7 days a week which is the original reason I went there when I moved to Weston in 2010 when my lab became ill. They are the real deal and I have never thought they recommend medicine or treatments that were not in the best interest of my dog(s). I do not use any other service they offer because I do not have a need for them, but I would not hesitate to use them as a veterinary hospital.

We took our ailing dog to Dr. Longo three times for the same problem--he was having trouble breathing--a variety of diagnostic tests revealed that he had an enlarged heart. Our pup was prescribed a number of medicines and told that he would be fine. He was not fine, as it turns out. He did not get any better. He passed away at home, quite hideously, half an hour before another emergency appointment we scheduled with Dr. Longo. When we called the doctor, he told us to bring him so that we could discuss cremation. When we arrived, literally 10 minutes after we got off the phone with the doctor, he had conveniently gone "out to lunch." So, not only was he unable to adequately treat a condition that we spent over $1,000 to treat, but we lost a member of our family and were met with a mean lack of compassion. I wouldn't recommend this vet to anyone who loves their pet.
