Our dog was recently diagnosed with a pretty serious condition. Dr Suhie preformed surgery on her and was wonderful! He was professional and compassionate. He answered all my questions and I never felt rushed. Honestly, I wish our family practioner would take a lesson here!

If I had to rate a veterinarian, I'd start off with the care and service that was provided, not the money. I've brought my cat here three times. The staff is incredibly nice and the doctors are extremely gentle and caring with my animal. They presented all the options outright and let me decide on the course of action. Yes, it is expensive, but that's to be expected. From the three times I've been there you can tell that the doctors and assistants love animals and have their best interest in mind. Reading over some of the comments, it seems as if there is too much emphasis on the money factor and not enough on the care and service provided.

THIS IS THE WORST VET IN THE WORLD. Just took my lab in yesterday with beginnings of bloat - I was told that I had to produce $5000 before they operated on him and they kept him in pain until I said I had to make payment arrangements and asked would the surgery be successful. They gave me all the reasons that it wouldn't and gave me no option but to put him to sleep so he wouldn't be in pain. He was 3 years old and just had the beginnings of bloat. I have had experiences before with them: because they are open on weekends. One Doctor told me they were so expensive because they had a high overhead there with salaries etc. Never ever would I use them again and make sure I will tell everyone I know.

My cat spent 2 nights here last week with a urinary blockage.I was asked 1st how much care credit I was approved for, which I found odd considering,no estimate on services had been discussed yet.Surgery was mentioned as an option but not as an immediate priority. The Dr called me the 1st night after inserting 1 of 2 catheters chuckling at "causing some damage"when she inserted it.The next day,his catheter blocked and he needed a new 1.The next morning,I was told "somehow during the night"he pulled his catheter out.Somehow? Is this not a 24hr facility where he should have had 24hr care?We decided to not give him a 3rd and was told he could come home if he peed on his own which supposedly he did.I took him home that night with expensive new food and prescriptions. He never peed normally once.I called repeatedly with concerns and was given an attitude and told the vet was too busy to return my calls. My cat was euthanized Fri(a week later)after suffering because they refused to help me.

I brought my older cocker spaniel who was having difficulty walking and going up and down stairs- they recommended surgery that we declined. My dog's condition cleared itself without intervention and recovery 100%. I have no confidence in clinic's care. The clinic is expensive and value uncertain

Dr. Donahue saved my dog's life....it alled me to have an extra 3 1/2 yrs with her, prescious time, thank you!! They are expensive, but they know their stuff. A family member's dog was a victem of hit & run, they saved her as well, which involved much internal damange. She's fine today, healthy. When I finanlly had to put my dog down they were compassionate, caring & helped me make it as peaceful and loving as possible for me and the dog. It is expensive here, but they are well worth it.

Awful experience. Minor paw injury but occurred during weekend when my vet was not open. This place somehow managed to gash my dog's leg when they were wrapping it -- causing bleeding and a big chunk of skin removed. I saw blood in weird spots on his bandage and questioned it. I was told it was caused by them clipping his toe nails. Which they did -- and managed to make his non-injured hind paw bleed all over the place. Lesson learned? If you want to injure your dog by incompetent vets and vet techs, then by all means, take them here!

They do not care about your animal, they want to suck all of your money up, then dump your animal back to you without the proper care. Save yourself some money and disappointment. Go somewhere else.

I don't know what most people on here are complaning about. Do you really expect to get your pet care for free? It costs money people! I've been bringing my pets here for years and have no complaints. We've luckily never had to go here for an emergency but it's nice to already know the place and know that if we need it it's only 5 minutes away. The doctors and rest of the staff have been nothing short of professional and helpful and I feel comfortable going here.

This practice should lose their license. They are greedy moneymongers that obviously don't care about the animals. They diagnosed by dachshund with a ruptured disc in a 15 minute visit with no xrays, MRI or catscan and recommended immediate $5,000 surgery. Oh, at a cost of $250. They gave her a drug that she had an extreme reaction to, and when I called them, they brushed off the reaction as stress. Basically, my dog had NO disc problems--just a bruised rib. They not only misdiagnosed her, they almost killed her. IF YOU LOVE YOUR PET, DO NOT GO TO THIS FACILITY. EVER.

Every time that I have gone there thier prices have been very high and even when my dog gets the same procedure, the prices have gone up and up and up. The staff realy didn't care about my dog being sick and me wanting him to be brought into a room so that the other dogs wouldn't get infected. I also waited almost 1hr for the dr to see my dog. I would not go there again. Even though they are close by , I would rather go elsewhere than there.

Wow, the perfect example of what's wrong with corporate vets. On two seperate ocassions, they misdiagnosed my pets; neither case was particularly extrodinary. Their prices are exorbinate and their staff is fair at best.

Dr Weiseman performed back surgery on our basset in June. She has a real love for the pets she treats. She was available whenever I called for updates or with questions. Her resident Dr Bursteiner also was a tremendous help during a difficult time for us. Our basset is doing well thanks to them and the exceptional care she received.Even though she was a difficult patient but they handled her with great care.

Since the corporation took over this vet has gone down the tubes.Dr Debra Goul treated my cat- I could never get his blood test results and her to return my calls....I have to the vet to talk to someone --when the meds she gave me didn't work I was told to bring him in thru emergency for another blood test $325.00 for the emergency and another $200.00 for ANOTHER blood test. It's a business to them now - Don't waste your money or your time with these people - they have no interest in your animals- no Compassion what so ever

I read the comment about Dr. Suhie and was shocked, Doctor Suhie has been taking care of my three german shepards, he has always been professional and extremly kind to us. He explains everything the best he can in laymens terms. We are not the sharpest tools in the shed if you know what I mean. He always makes a point to call us for a followup and tries his best to treat accordingling. I do not beleive the Doctors are trying to****us when it come to the bill paying although I agree especially in times like these its is hard to come up with the monies in one lumps sum. Remeber though the hospital must remain staffed 24-7. I am sorry for your experience but ask that you give them another try. Cherrie Lemay in, Cheshire Ct. Thank you Dr. Suhie for all your help these past few months. PS Nikita will be under going surgery on thursday with Dr. Weinstein I will let everyone no the outcome. Regards, Cherrie

Do not use this hospital, please. We had a terrible experience with a procedure performed by Dr. Michael Suhie recently. Our dog was released to us in terrible condition (Not ambulatory and blind). We were not able to speak to Dr. Suhie, and were told by the staff that they could not contact him. He was not available. They would not even call him and give him our telephone number. A different doctor called that evening; but unfortunately could not address our dog's problem because she was not present for the procedure. Dr. Suhie phoned us the next day!! The hospital has not been the same since they were taken over by Veterinary Centers of America.
