Last reviewer is obviously an unpleasant human being. To make personal & ugly comments about an employee of any business is more telling of the reviewer. It's a shame. Sounds like someone who has mental problems. Clearly, money is all that person cares about. Luckily, this person will go elsewhere (or was asked to leave) because they are upsetting to us who love our animals. I have been bringing pets to Dr. Cohen for two decades and he is the highest quality veterinarian (actually, he's a vet expert) and several times, he has helped me out financially when my pets have been sick and once when my dog was hit by a car. I know Dr. Cohen takes care of homeless peoples dogs and takes in abused pets. He is a wonderful man and great vet. Anyone who says different is crazy.

Like the other reviewer said, their front office staff is the WORST. Rude doesn't even describe it! The front desk girl, Nicole, is an ignorant, stuck up, uneducated, unpleasant *itch. Its a shame about this in that Dr Cohen is a very good doctor. I just don't understand how he, or his wife, can allow or even maintain an employee who takes away from his practice and leaves such a bad taste EVERY TIME you visit. Nicole believes she is something special when she is an office girl making under $15/hr. Who does she think she is treating paying customers the way she does? Do yourselves a favor, try another doctor before going there... the attitude is not worth the $$$$$ you pay (and I mean all those dollar signs) to be treated with no respect.

I am a new dog owner so I had no idea about vets, I went for a free visit that came with the puppy and was so-so impressed but on the recommendation of a friend, I went to the Newport Beach Vet Hospital. I will say that the professionalism, thoughtfulness and thoroughness of the Dr. Cohen and staff has been stellar!

This vet truly cares! This vet truly cares about your pet as much as you do. You can tell that he is not in it for the money with the hours he keeps rather it's because he has a heart for all animals and wants to give them the best possible care ever. The thing that touched me the most is when Dr. Cohen holds my dog and my dog is so comfortable in his arms! This is the first vet where my dog was actually wagging his tail despite being very sick instead of shaking uncontrollably. Dr. Cohen is one of a kind vet who really knows his stuff and will give your pet the best care possible. despite that he is a specialist vet, his prices are reasonable and actually below what other less smart vets are charging. This is the best vet that I've ever been to and I'm truly thankful and blessed to have found this wonderful place by a friend of mine.

We have been taking our dog here for years and felt Dr. Cohen took excellent care of our dog and was always helpful and thorough...until we boarded our dog and picked her up in horrible condition: collar was saturated in urine and ****, her elbows were raw and swollen, and her paws had some cuts from pawing at the cage (we think). There definitely appeared to be a lack of attention and care of the dogs boarding there that resulted in my dog neglected and perhaps caged in a kennel to small for her size. When we returned the next morning Dr. Cohen apologized and treated her sores free of charge of course! He minimized the situation and his staff gave us major attitude which was the final straw for us.

This is a great vet hospital and Dr. Cohen, who is a specialist vet, does things and knows things that the other vets around just don't. The place is always spotless and the staff always very helpful. Our family has been taking our dogs there for over 15 years. You'll be happy to have Dr. Cohen take care of your pets.
