City of Angels almost killed my dog. Dr Carey performed a botched biopsy on my dog causing him severe bleeding on the surgery table. She then covered it up saying it was a reaction. To make matters worse she didn't collect enough specimen for IDEXX labs to make a decision if it was cancer or not. She told me my dog didn't have cancer when in fact he did. She didn't show me the biopsy report from IDEXX labs saying they recommended another biopsy be done. Thank God I eventually decided to get another biopsy. His leg is now amputated but he is ALIVE. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

WE received inconsistent care for our 10 year olddog with Lymphoma. They ordered tests that he did not need, they failed to communicate with us or our vet, and the 6 month estimate was spent in 6 weeks. Not good care and not ethical.

They charge you lots of money, but they don't give great patient care. Rude staff; cavalier docs, & they make you/your pet wait for hours. I took my dog to see a specialist for a biopsy. He suggested to leave him to be seen by the internist. Left him at 9am; didn't get to pick him up till after 7pm. Needless to say, my dog passed away, & they took their time, & milked me dry. The night before, they told me my dog was doing well. The following day, he had taken a turn for the worse. The on-call doctor didn't call me in the early morning hour. No, I received my grim call at 9am. I was about 5-6 min away from the vet & I drove like the wind & honked at slow cars. Last call was to say that my dog had passed. My poor baby died amongst strangers w/o his mom. I wanted to comfort him & say goodbye, but I didn’t the chance to tell him that I love him forever. Instead, I saw his motionless body. They are cruel, insensitive and unprofessional!

It was the worst experience...same as the others. They attempted to scare with with the worst case scenarios and wanted me to do a doagnostic for $2300. The staff is evil and will attempt to extort money from you by playing on your fear and sadness. They didn't care about my pet...I waited 5 hours to talk to an actual vet. During the 6 hours she was there, they placed her in an oxygen tank without providing fluids or food. She was emaciated. Then it took forever to check her out. The ran some tests I had not even known about until checkout time. Then they called to tell me what her diagnosis was and left me the message as to her diagnosis. after 6 hours I took my sweetie and left because I knew she wasn't going to get better in that environment. PLEASE LISTEN TO THIS REVIEWS...I WISH I HAD!

After reading the negativity that has been expressed for City of Angels. I am going to say that City of Angels have the best team of Dr. a staff. From the moment I walked into the waiting area I felt as though I was walking in to family. They treated my family and I like they have known us for you. My dog was having bladder stone surgery and Dr. Bennett explained the surgery in detail. Instead of having to leave her two nights, they had a cancellation and were able to do her surgery that day. Although I felt bad for having to leave her , I knew that she was getting the best care. After her surgery they called to tell me how the surgery went, and that they were taking great care of my baby- they even gave her a warm blanket and pillow to sleep on. If some one wants to get the best care possible for their dog, I would highly recommend City of Angels.

I was sent to City of Angeles by my regular veterinarian to get an echocardiogram. The results were to be sent back to my vet for further treatment. I was quoted $300-350 for the test when I scheduled the appointment at City of Angels. When I arrived, they tried to "build the sale" by having me get blood work and x-rays and a vet's examination (all of which had been done by my regular vet). While going over the records faxed over by my vet, it was implied that my vet had not taken the proper tests, written down the correct information, and may not even be capable of understanding the test results that City of Angels would provide them. They tried their best to convince me that they should now be my vet. (My current vet is one of the best in the country.) I agreed only to the echocardiogram, for which the price had mysteriously risen to $445 when I checked out. I talked them down to $348, and left with the distinct feeling that I was being "handled."

Please consider other hospital because this hospital will rip you off. They charged me about $500 to put the catheter in because my cat was having UTI problem and couldn't urinate. They traumatized my cat's urinary tract or god knows what they did, charged me so much money for nothing. They were unsuccessful to insert the catheter and said that they have to do the surgery because it could be life threatening to the cat. They asked to pay $ 3000-4000 for the surgery.I was already depressed and they depress me more.I couldnot afford to pay that much so i left and took my cat to Animal Medical Center Of Southern California http://www.animalmedcenter.com/(BEST hospital Dr SCHULMAN is the best)they took care of my cat rightaway charged me about $1700.They successfully put the catheter in and did NOT do the SURGERY and my cat was home healthy in a week. The City of Angels Veterinary are going to emotionally blackmail you and try to get your money. I highly recommend to take your pet somewhere el

My dog was misdiagnosed, given medicine that destroyed his immune system for $8200.00. Took him to UC Davis where he died after 14 days in Critical Care Unit. City of Angels does NOT have a specialist in Internal Medicine although they advertise it all over their website. Complaints to Ca Vet Med Board and Amer Vet Med Assoc. This place is very unethical and negligent. Do your research!!!
