Click to report rating    12/15/13   5     4     5     5   Of all the vets I have used in the past 40 years, none have been nearly as good as Dr. Deborah Mitchell, the owner of Knollwood. She has had knowledge in depth of the various possibilities that might cause my dogs' symptoms and shares them all with a frank and honest style. On my first visit with my Samoyed Ben, I got a better diagnosis in a 15 minute consultation that I had gotten from my regular vet in more than a year of treatment. Just by doing a skeletal exam with her hands she was able to determine that Ben had a previously undiagnosed tick-born disease. And Dr. Mitchell was able to prescribe a course of treatment, both traditional and homeopathic, that kept the old guy active and pain free for an additional 12 months. She literally saved my Kody's life with an early and accurate diagnosis of a blasto infection. The only downside is that they have no weekend hours. In an emergency I have to take the dogs elsewhere. Dr. Mitchell is hands down the best! RID: 48783
Click to report rating    2/3/12   5     5     5     5   I have been taking my critters to Dr Mitchell for many years and I credit her with saving the lives of two of my babies. They had been seen by other vet hospitals prior to seeing Dr Mitchell and nothing was helping. She diagnosed the problem on the first visit and within a very short time my boys were in great shape. She is very knowledgeable and I feel very confident in recommending her to anyone with pets. RID: 32005
Click to report rating    6/15/11   1     5     2     1   I just started going to Knollwood hospital and I'm not happy. Dr Mitchell never followed up. And when I called for the thyroid results they only wanted to see my dog again after seeing her 2 weeks ago. I have thyroid issues I know they can give me the answers over the phone. I feel like they are only looking to make money. RID: 25642
Click to report rating    4/7/11   1     3     1     1   After many years of going to Knollwood, I will not be returning. The only friendly staff member is Chani. Everyone else was very unwelcoming. I felt like the nurses and Dr Mitchell did not listen to me when i was expressing my concerns. My thoughts did not seem to matter to them. I brought my dog in because He was not feeling well and one of the nurses kept telling me I was wrong about my dog not feeling 100%. I was sent away with a huge bill for pointless bloodwork and no answers. Two days later, on Sunday, I had to take my dog to an emergency clinic for excessive vomiting. X-rays were taken at golf-rose and they showed an obstruction, something they said should have been caught a lot sooner. Knollwood dissapointed me with their rude staff in poor quality medicine. Click to report rating    6/25/10   1     1     1     1   After numerous very expensive tests, they couldn't find the problem with my cat. He passed away a week later. It seems all they care about is making money rather than the welfare of your fur-babies. RID: 18537
Click to report rating    3/13/10   5     5     5     5   I've been a client of Knollwood for over 15 years, and can honestly say that Dr Mitchell and her entire staff are extraodinary! Dr Mitchell's knowledge of traditional "western" medicine as well as Integrative medicine - which includes holistic & herbal treatments as well as acupuncture and Chiropratic treaments have proved to be vital to the health and well being of all my dogs! I cannot stress enough how much of a difference it makes to have a vet with the ability to provide so many options to help your animal in need. Throughout the years, I have run into many different health challenges for my dogs, and Dr Mitchell has always come through with options and treatments of all different types to help them, and improve their quality of life. Dr's & staff provide care to all physical needs as well as understanding and compassion to my dogs and to me. I highly recommend Dr Mitchell & Knollwood to any pet guardian that is looking for the very best care for their animals RID: 17046
Click to report rating    4/21/08   2     4     1     3   Not only does this practice keep you waiting, more than 30 minutes past your appointment time, but they also do not provide service worth waiting for. They prescribed the incorrect medication for my dog's condition. Instead of prescribing medications for Giardia, they gave my dog a dewormer. The medication clearly stated that is was for worms. After doing some research on Giardia and contacting another vet, I found out that they prescribed the wrong medication. Very bad! If they can't handle prescribing the correct medication, I wouldn't trust them with any animal. RID: 8215
