My cat was treated at ACV. He was in guarded but stable condition with liver problems. DVM Jeanne Harding did ultrasound and removed fluid from his abdomen. She said she had nicked his spleen during the procedure and applied a bandage to stop bleeding. She initially stated that removing fluid would make him feel better but also suggested euthanization in the same breath. The bandage was removed before we took him home so we assumed he was ok. He went into trauma within 10 minutes of leaving the clinic. He was howling, vomiting, voiding and having severe spasms and distress. We called DVM H and she lectured us that she could not make a diagnosis over the phone and to bring him back to the clinic, he would not have made it there. We took him to my local vet where he was euthanized. Dr. Kramer has not returned our calls and said he would prefer if we spoke with the office manager. I thought this was an excellent hospital. I will be filing a complaint against Dr. Harding.
