I brought them my female dog here because she had a severe infection in her uterus and I thought she was pregnant. When they did her ultrasound she was not pregnant but did have a severe infection. We chose to have her spayed and was told it would be about $1200. I ask the following day what our charges were and they told me they would call and let me know. I never received a call! When I went to pick her up the bill was over $2700! They charged 25% more for everything they did because it was "after hours"! When I asked if they had a payment plan I was told NO. I am not sure about the rest of you, but I do not have this kind of money laying around. Yes, she received good care but they need to be up front about their ridiculous charges. Some of these charges were more than they charge for human medicine. I love her very much but she is a dog not a human.

The intensive care vet killed my dog. He failed to follow correct procedure and resusitated or bother to call me that my dog was not doing well. Just a call at 5am saying he was dead and what should he do with the remains. Also my dog was mistreated for Cushings for two years, the vet did not follow the correct testing procedures instructed by the drug company. He also disregarded lab work that indicated a food malabsorption issue. Run dont walk away from this place.

Wonderful clinic. My 11 year old Wheaten has been a patient since she was 9 weeks old, my two rescued cats are now being seen here too. All the vets are great, especially fond of Dr. Michelle Miller! State of the art facility with exceptional diagnostic capabilities. I've rated the monetary value mid-range and only because this clinic is higher priced than most.

The vets are wonderful here. The old receptionist whom answered the phone was great as well. The new lady not so much. The vets explained everything and also gave me the right medication for my dog after going to two other vet clincs and not getting the stuff. they also told me about other opitions i could do as well. i would recommend this place to anyone.

I have had excellent care for my dogs here - I feel very fortunate to have this clinic within 10 minutes of my home. My vet respects my wishes as to avoiding repeated vaccination and also respects my desire to use holistic care along with Western medicine. Knowledge of nutrition is somewhat lacking, but I have never found a vet who is NOT pushing junk like Science Diet & Purina products. My degree is in Nutrition, so I'm a bit biased.

This is a state of the art facility with many good to excellent veterinarians. Would reccommend the emergency services in particular. However, office staff is very poor, and the lack of customer service and poor business practices make the whole experience miserable. Too bad it could be great - but have gone elsewhere after many years.

I have been a client of Animal Clinic Northview since 1988. Within that time I lived in Michigan for two years, when I returned to Ohio I found that my regular vet had left the area, so I tried another vet that was close-by. What a disaster! A second opinion from Northview on a botched diagnosis caused me to come back, and you couldn't pay me to go elsewhere. Regular care, emergency care - I've never had a bad experience. There is a lot of value built into their practice with specialists and resources that no clinic that I can think of can offer. My pets are my family and they deserve the best. Northview is the best.

State of the art clinic with a knowledgable staff of specialists. The avian vet and his techs are especially gifted.

I have had only good experiences here. My 17-yr old cat, 11-yr old collie & even my hamster has had only the best of care. The hamster had pneumonia. My 8-year-old son broke his piggy bank and came to me with money dripping from his hands, begging me to take him to the vet. How could I say no? When they started talking about putting Hammy in a "hamster ICU" on an "amoxicillan drip" I shook my head - I was in an uncomfortable spot. Our vet promised the bill wouldn't be more than $60, so I said OK. Despite all of this, Hammy did not make it through the night. We were called to pick up his things. Hammy was wraped carefully in tissue in a white box. They gave my son a nice poem about the "Rainbow Bridge" where pets wait for the owners who loved them. I was only charged for the medicine used, total bill: $27. If they take this kind of care with a hamster, what will they do for my cat and dog? I will never use another vet.

I can't say enough good about this facility - may be a bit pricey, but saved our dog's life. We have been to Dr. Grzenda, Dr. Randy Hutchinson, Dr. Hallie and Dr. Pentecost & extrememely satisfied with all of them.

They care about money, not your pet. There are a couple very good doctors there, but the bottom line with Hutchinson is dollars. There are much better hospitals around for far less money. Including breeding specialists. 6 miles east is a good start.

I started using this veterinary clinic because my mother and grandmother used this clinic for many animals back when Robert V. Hutchison was in practice. Robert V. Hutchison made emergency house calls, cared for pets overnight himself, genuinely cared for animals, didn't care about how much someone could afford and was honest, but the clinic is nothing like this today. I started taking my dogs to this clinic in 2006 where they overcharged for everything. They even tried telling me both of my dogs had different types of worms that no other veterinarian found. They live together and if they had worms, they'd have the same type. Also, when I wanted to order medications from a well known company to save money, they charged me $10 per prescription they wrote! This clinic seems to have become more interested in having the most up to date technologies rather than caring for pets.

I have been using this Vet for 3 years for our English Bulldog which we breed. I feel overall they have some great doctors, and some not so great doctors. If you ever have a question and call, dont expect a timely return to the call. This is probably my biggest complaint. Timely to me is within a few hours, not minutes. If i am in there spending hundreds of dollars they are very attentive but by phone they kind of suck. I have only had one positive experience by phone. Most of staff is great, few crab apples in the bunch. Always have been on time for appts, except once for ER. Kind of expect that sometimes. A little pricey. Unfortunately not many other vets that have the experience or facilities to help breeders. But i keep looking. Also have a friend that has used them for years and has had some bad experiences whenever the wrong dr. was used.

Our experience was very sub-par. From the scheduling, to the office staff - no one really seems to care. We and our local vet cannot get them to return calls about our follow-up care. They never told us what to do pre-op like don't feed 12 hours prior... We had another pet surgery (jaw cancer) at Metropolitan Animal Hospital near Akron (yes it was a little bit of a drive). The care to us and our pet was sooo far ahead of Northview - words really can't explain. If your pet can take a little bit of a drive - go to Metropolitan. They were absolutely fantastic.

I have been going to Animal Clinic Northview for the past 6 years. Dr Randy Hutchison was able to diagnose my 3 Yr old German Shepherd with Rocky Mt Spotted Fever after taking her in for 3 months to other Vets and no one could detect it. She went from barley being able to stand from a sitting or lying position to running again! Also I have taken my dog in there at 1:30 AM with an emergency, they were waiting at the door for me, ALL their staff was so caring and gentle with all my 5 dogs, always. I would never go anywhere else. A bit expensive but they are worth every penny for top notch care!

I find that the vets are genuinely concerned about the well-being of my cats. They are very friendly and answer all of my questions. My one cat had an ulcer develop on his eye. The vet actually consulted with other docs at a conference she went to, specifically to get more advice about my cat! Talk about real care, how many vets would even think about your pet outside of the appointment? Also, the place has many specialists. They have a large pharmacy and lab on site, so I rarely have to go anywhere else to get a medication and I can wait a ½ hour for test results (instead of days/weeks). They offer appointments on Sats (all day) and evenings! People tell me that this place is expensive. I have been to several different offices (that don’t have labs or pharmacies) in the area with my pets, and they cost just as much. Even if the place were more expensive, I believe the added convenience and the wonderful treatment my cats and I receive from the staff and vets are well worth the money.

I have had two "pet emergencies" this week and I just can't say enough good things about this clinic and their staff. We were seen right away and everyone from the office staff to the vets were caring, courteous and professional. These vets really know their stuff! Both visits required hospitalization so it was expensive but reasonable if you consider the excellant care they got.

CUSTOMERS BEWARE! A horrible clinic with careless employees. Our dog had an appointment at 9:30am for neutering, and by 2:30pm he still had not been taken care of. He had not eaten since 6pm the night before and the staff there just did not care. They also tried to administer a second set of vaccines after they already gave our dog the first set. Finally, we ordered six small pills for our dog and asked to have them mailed to us. They did so, for $10.10! Instead of putting the pills in a small padded envelope, they put them in a shoebox sized box and sent them certified. The person who took our order never told us about the outrageous shipping methods, and refused to talk to us about it. They just said it's their 'policy'. Completely uncaring about their customers. It's all about profit for these thieves. Worthless and useless. We will NEVER let this go! We want everyone to know how worthless and uncaring these people are.

Impossible to get anyone on the phone. Even my Veterinarian was unable to speak with a Vet or Tech. Poor response time by phone, a little better by e-mail. In 3 breedings, no puppies. I switched back to trusting my local Vet for SI's and got puppies both times. Northview Clinic is too commercial.

I have been bringing my fur friends here for the past 8 years and wow is all i can say... I love the way they treat my animals and they are very helpful.. I too would have lost my Cat if it weren't for them.. She was diagnosed with liver problems at the age of 17 years old, but she bounced back and then a year later started to develope kidny failure.. she still lived for another 3 years later. she ended up having to be put to sleep when she was 21 years old... I will recommend this clinic to any one in a heart beat.. i got a friend of mine to go and they to love them..

excellent facilities, sometimes long waits, fairly expensive...but GOOD!!! If you have a health issue your regular vet can't solve, bring them to Northview!! They have specialists in almost everything and all the latest equipment. My dog would have died if not for them....also they are well known all over the country for their reproduction staff and specialist, Dr. Hutchison.
