As bird owners, we've seen them for over 10 years, and have especially liked Dr. John Heidrich, an outstanding vet for birds, for his knowledge and kindness towards pets. We've been very satisfied. However, as of 4-11-2011, Dr. Heidrich is retired, and there is NO AVIAN SPECIALIST PRACTICING THERE ANYMORE. Dr. Linda Contos used to practice bird medicine there with Dr. Heidrich, and she was very good, but she's now at Ventana clinic on the west side of Albquerque, so I would recommend bird owners to go to her.
