I had a bad experience with my last vet in the poconos with my last green amazon and thats how I heard about Dr. R. Ive been coming here 6 years with my new green amazon and they are the best! They gave me so much information that I didnt know about on my first visit and answer all of my questions every time. I love these guys and they see more than just birds. I saw a rabbit and Petco was there the last time I was in with 2 lizards. I think it is good that Petco brings their animals here. Thank you do much! Darla M

As a college student and first time dog owner I was terrified to pick a vet office for my dog Cosmo, but the ladies at AAC instantly made me and the pooch feel at home. They really care about our dogs and always let me know exactly what is going on! They also are great with ordering food or medicine, and don't try to rip you off on prices. I highly recommend this place to anyone

Outstanding exotic animal veterinarian. It's obvious that the entire staff loves animals and they, especially Dr. Rutkowski handle my very feisty Amazon like no one else I've ever seen. And, she has a very fun personality. She is the best bird vet in Pennsylvania. Every time I've been there , there are unusual animals in the lobby -- I even saw a huge tortoise in there once. Thanks Dr. Rutkowski. Keep up the good work!

I don't just appreciate the doctors there, I appreciate the entire staff. They make it easy to set an appointment and work with my admittedly difficult schedule. When I come in for my visits, the staff, especially Chelsie, always treat my animals gently and with respect. You won't see any pushing or leash-yanking here. Dr. Loennig is a pleasure to work with and a genuinely nice person. My dogs are usually finicky about being touched by anyone but 'Dad,' but they don't seem to mind the staff here at all. A few months ago, when one of my dogs dug through the trash for a stale chocolate cake they helped me stay calm, and even advised me what to do over the phone before I could get her to do them. As long as they continue to go above and beyond like that, my dogs won't LET me go anywhere else.

Recently our 10 year old dachshund underwent surgery at the Allentown Animal Clinic. Since she had problems with prior surgery we were very apprehensive about the procedure. Dr. R reassured us she would personally take care of our pet…and she did. Dr. R went well above and beyond what we expected. She took excellent care of her, calling us twice a day to give reports on her recovery. We can’t thank her enough for everything she did for us and our dog. We also want to thank to rest of the staff at the clinic: Terry, Marcy, Jill, and Amy, and all the others whose names we don’t know, who were so very good to us and our dog. We have taken “Cocoa” to them since she was a puppy and have always received the best of care and been treated with respect. We thank all of them for the patience and care.

The first thing I noticed when I walked in was how clean the office smelled. The nurses and doctors were very thorough in explaining what was going on with my 11-year-old feline friend. They took the extra time to show me how to give him his medicine, since I had never done it before. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone who is looking for doctors that really care about your pet and not how fast they can get you out the door.

We have been going to this office for over five years. In October our beloved black cat Opey passed away,after a 6 month battle with stomach cancer.The caring and sypathetic care of the entire staff was incredible.When I brought my niece and nephew to the office for one of our visits, Dr Rutkowski took the time to give them a tour of the entire facility.They were thrilled.Our other cat had to have major surgery, due to eating a long piece of xmas ribbon.We were able to go and visit him anytime we wanted to.We just got a 6 month old kitten,his first visit is tomorrow.I highly recomend this office.Very clean!

i have been going to this vet for about 10 years. I honestly could not be happier. they take the time to answer all your questions and concerns. My favorite part about them, i never feel like they are trying to get money out of me by doing unnecessary things. if you want a great varing vet, check them out!

All I can say is that I have been a client here for almost 10 years and I would never think about going anywhere else. I have 4 cats and, until recently, 2 dogs. I have lost 1 cat and 1 dog suddenly since I have been with Allentown Animal Clinic and the compassion, understanding, caring, professionalism, and warmth they provide goes above and beyond all professional standards. They look at every animal like it is their own, not just the doctors, but the staff as well. I have seen every doctor and meet all staff and not one of them is anything other than perfection in my eyes. They feel the loss that you feel when you lose an animal. The doctors get on the FLOOR with your animals to make them feel less scared! Who does that? Everything is about comfort and understanding with your animals. So to rebut what one person said in June, IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR ANIMALS LIFE, YOU MUST TAKE THEM TO ALLENTOWN ANIMAL CLINIC! I will never see anyone else. comments welcome!

I am the owner of 2 chihuahuas .I have taken my dogs there for 3 years.When my dog Rebel got very ill with Imha,Dr Rutkowski I believe saved his life.She gave me many updates on his condition every day he was in the clinic.The entire staff is wonderful and show a great deal of concern for my dogs.There has never been a time they were ever rude or uncaring.I trust them with both my dogs life.Vet care is expensive thats why I have pet insurance.If you want the best care for your pets this is the clinic you want.I have seen every vet there .They are all great.I wouldn't go anyplace else.

If you value your animal's life, don't ever take it to this vet!! I lost my beloved african grey thanks to Dr. Judy R Rutkowski. She doesn't care about any of your concerns regarding the treatment your bird gets. She does whatever she wants regardless of how you feel. She doesn't give you the vital information or warnings you need either, which is what happened to me. My bird's death could have been easily prevented had she only informed me properly. And to top it off, Dr.Rutkowski tried to manipulate me into thinking I alone was responsible for my bird's death even though her negligence was a large part of it. They charge you ridiculous amounts for their services and they have no payment plan. Their only concern is how much money they can get from you. I'm heartbroken and sick over the loss of my baby. I'm warning everyone I can so the same fate doesn't happen to them. I hope everyone sees these monsters for what they really are, and that they lose all their clients.

I have 4 dogs and have had excellent care given by all the doctors. The technicians are the best. I highly reccomend this facility

We have been going to this vet for years. The staff are very nice, attentive, and really care about our animals. We do sometimes feel pressured to get tests, and prepare ourselves beforehand to say no. They are very expensive.

We will never go back. After we waited over 40 minutes before we were even able to see the vet tec we were pushed into testing for everything under the sun. one test which was actually needed turned out to be positive for lyme disease, and were forced to set appnts for a list of extra appnts, tests, scans, pills to deal with it. I went back to my normal, trusted vet... she laughed at this, its a rip off. Were not even sure if he DID have lyme or they just needed to sell us something. Way too much money, too much pressure and we left there more confused about lyme then we went in!

Had a great experience. Staff and doctor really cared about my dog. Offered all the correct services. No pressure, and willing to allow me to take perscription to own pharmacy. Even though very busy took the time necessary to check out my dog completely.

This animal clinic forces pet owners to do almost anything to keep you coming into the clinic to spend money. They prescribe medicine that works great but will cancel your prescription if you don't purchase the meds from them. If they can't force you to by their meds marked up over 300%, the give excuses why your animal needs bloodtests. Its all a racket to Judith Rukowski. In it 100% for the dollar!
