This vet killed my precious little black schnauzer (which in turn almost killed me). They should not be called Gentle Care much less a "hospital". They merely treat the symptoms (usually prescribing antibiotics for everything) and do not get to the root cause of the problem. My 9 year old female schnauzer had blood in urine and Dr Cords prescribed antibiotics after testing positive for UTI. Had an X-ray been taken at that time (5/15) Dr Cords would have discovered that her bladder was full of stones. 3 weeks later with no improvement I rushed her there as she was urinating/squatting frequently. When it seemed nothing was coming out Dr Cords decided to do an X-ray which then discovered the stones. These vets, and the staff, are the most caring and loving group that you can find. All the Vets are fabulous, but I am partial to Dr. Cox. Your precious pet will get the best care here, without being gauged.

We've been taking our twin boys to Dr. Cords for nine years and wouldn't go anywhere else. All staff are pleasant and remember names and furry faces even on the street!

I have used Gentle Care for 13 years and they have been WONDERFUL to me. They are very caring. The facilities are a clever western design and it is a pleasure being there. They do everything in front of you, which is so important to me. The support you get from the staff is oustanding! And you will never find a cleaner hospital! I do question their use of Ketamine/valium. Ketamine stings and should NOT be used for pain relief and valium can actually excite an animal. I have learned euthanasia is best accomplished with a combination of Domitor and Butorphanol administered first.
