Click to report rating    4/13/19   5     5     5     5   My cat is a very timid soul. Going to the vet is extremely stressful for him and causes him to shake, pant, lose fur, you name it. Dr. McKenzie and the rest of the staff at Mountain Animal Hospital were so kind and patient with him. Dr. McKenzie was very gentle and gave Travis his yearly shots, and consulted about his weight as he's a bit hefty and at risk for diabetes. We decided on a treatment plan involving changing his food and implementing more exercise. The food is expensive but it is specialty, and now that I have purchased it at other clinics I have found that it is competitively priced. The clinic was not too busy, which was great for Travis. They offered me this appointment time specifically because I said he would be nervous, and I really appreciate the care. Dr. McKenzie also chatted with me a bit as he was working on Travis, which was nice. Very much like seeing my own family doctor. RID: 67904

Click to report rating    3/22/14   5     3     4     3   I had a very positive experience with both my dogs here. The testing was thorough and revealed the problem . Medication was prescribed and my pet got better. Dr. M called that evening to give me results. The personal service made me feel I made the right choice. The staff is very caring and listen to my concerns of keeping costs in line considering my dog is older. RID: 50623
Click to report rating    7/20/13   2     3     3     1   I had taken my cat in after noticing he had been ill for a few weeks. Two appointments and over $600 later, there were still no definitive answers. I took him to another vet, one much cheaper, and within ten minutes, the vet knew he had a mass in his stomach. Not only did the second vet find the issue almost immediately, they charged two hundred dollars less for an x-ray which showed that my cat has cancer and two masses. When I had been researching for a new vet, every quote was cheaper than Mountain Animal Hospital by at least half for the same services. The vets and staff at the Mountain Animal Hospital are nice and treat the pets well during the exams, but their prices are outrageous and their hours are generally inconvenient. If you're looking for great service for the value of your money and the sake of your pet, I wouldn't recommend this vet. RID: 45731
Click to report rating    2/22/12   1     1     1     1   Dr.McKenzie and this clinic is one I will forever remember, in a negative way. I had never had a dog before, and even when he suggested I give my baby chihuahua several shots at once, my instincts told me that was not normal, even for a human being, let alone a tiny puppy. I TRUSTED him, because he's the "expert". Result? My puppy was severely sick and vomiting violently for weeks. She almost died. 3 months later, I miraculously ran into a lady I met at the SAME vet, who was also bringing in her baby chihuahua. She told me HER puppy almost died that week ,too. Again, from the multiple shots it was given! ALWAYS TRUST YOUR INSTINCTS! And AVOID this clinic & doctor! RID: 32403
Click to report rating    9/3/11   5     4     3     4   The doctors are very helpful at this clinic. They will call to check up on your pet and answer any concerns over the phone free of charge. RID: 27362
Click to report rating    2/18/10   1     2     4     2   they love doing test, do not miss charging you for anything, not good listeners to your believes. RID: 16671
Click to report rating    6/2/08   5     3     1     3   Dr.McKenzie talked in circles and made me confused. My dog seemed quite scared of him and he responded by being ROUGH with my dog. RID: 8664
