Dr. Hester does not stay up to date on new vax (vaccine) protocols. He still pushes people to give rabies vax every year when the STATE LAW calls for every THREE years! He gives TOO MANY vax (parvo vax every 6 months...who ever heard of such a thing). If you want to read about the new protocols set forth by the American Animal Hospital Association, please go to http://www.aahanet.org/PublicDocument... New studies show that dogs/cats DO NOT need to be re-vaxed every year. As you will see, the AAHA compromises with saying to re-vax every three years when in fact vax have been shown to give LIFETIME IMMUNITY!! When I confronted him about this, he was very rude! Another thing is that he isn't very thorough when it comes to checkups...dogs/cats should have bloodwork/urinalysis YEARLY and should be looked over thoroughly. When he neutered my dog and I went to pick him up the next day, he STUNK of urine/**** and didn't even come home w/ pain medication!

THIS IS ONE OF THE NICEST VETS I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED. HE IS A LOVER OF ALL ANIMALS AND TREATS THEM AS SO. WHOEVER WROTE THE FIRST COMMENT IS OBVIOUSLY A MISGUIDED AND UNEDUCATED. THEY CANT EVEN SPELL VETERINARY. I WILL CONTINUE TO USE HIM AS MY VET AND NO ONE CAN PLEASE PEOPLE LIKE THE ONE WHO MADE THAT FIRST POST.

This is to rate the vet only, not his staff. WES HESTER - owner- clinic renamed Bear Creek Vetinarian. This vet is in my opinion the most awful Doctor my pet has had the misfortune of seeing. Blames the pet owners for his mistakes and bad situations he creates. He does surgeries and does not send medication home (SUCH AS LIMB REMOVAL). He is very rude when people question him about his methods and hangs up on concerned pet owners. If you care about your pets, drive the extra mileage to see a decent doctor outside of Yazoo City, MS. As to not be libelous, in my statements. This is my opinion on how I was treated by this doctor. I would hope that people reading this would make their own decisions.
