I love Dr. Mera. She was able to diagnose my german shepherd when 3 other practices could not. However, it was over $800 for all of the tests. We had an 8am appointment for our 2 dogs yearly exams and shots and we were not seen until 8:45 and were the first appointment of the day. The staff is very friendly and knowledgable however, the prices are outrageous and don't expect to get seen at your appointment time.

The main concern here is making money! My sick cat (had herpes) cost an arm and a leg. They were more concerned about making sure I had the money than the fact that the cat was so very sick! Then at the end, they had me take her home... after a few days of sucking money out of me...THROUGH THE BACK DOOR SO OTHER ANIMALS WERE NOT SUBJECTED TO HER INFECTION! Ummmm....hmmmmm...I thought I paid you hundreds upon hundreds to make her well!!!??? Then you send us out the back door with her?????I guess other idiots payed you a ton as well and that is why you added that new addition to your fascility! They don't call to see how your animal is! They have their hand out at the entrance for your cash (figuratively) and are the most impersonal group/ uncaring group of people I ever met! Hopefully the numerous people moving in to the area who don't know any better will get the hint and leave you in the dust too...and I hope they at least leave while they still have a shirt on their back!

We went there for both a checkup on a new puppy and a nail clipping. The checkup, the Dr. seemed knowlagable but fairly abrupt. The staff seemed nice but the bill was through the roof! it cost almost $300.00 to get him looked at and Glucosamine Tablets and Flea and Tick Treatment. Next vist was for Nail clipping..Over the phone I was quoted 16.50 for nail clipping which I thought to be resonable..but when they were done, they tagged on a 20.00 Nursing fee..so the bill for nail clipping was $37.00...GEEZ!!! I called them back after my wife got home from the Visit and they told me that the 20.00 is normally charged for the nurses time. WHY WAS THAT NOT MENTIONED WHEN I FIRST CALLED?????

We recently adopted a turtle and just wanted an overall exam and to gain some information/knowledge on the best ways to care for it. Both exotic doctors were new to Wright's and did not have the literature on hand that they wanted apparently. However, all the questions we asked (i.e. regarding OTC products, food, water conditioner, lights, feeding amount) the doctor referred us to a WEBSITE. I'm glad we now know of a good online source but she barely had any answers for us. We were both disappointed.

My boyfriends mother had brought three of her dogs to this place.. and all have lived very short lives... one was misdiagnosed when she really had diabetes....and recently we just took our pet there to get stitches and they called us an hour later to let us know there was more damage than they thought.. and she would have to be put down... staff is nice but some of them .. not so sure they have enough knowledge..

I have taken my animals over 30 years to Wright's Animal Hospital. Any doctor I have had has been very nice and knowledgeable. I have presently been having one doctor for the last 5 years. Dr. Dulin. When I had to put my dog Peaches down, she was very comforting and truthful about the decision. She never pressured us one way or another, but did give us what our options were and for our dear pet. Dr. Dulin always greets the dogs as if they were her own. The rooms are always clean. She's very articulate in her care, and listens to what we have to say. She is a wonderful doctor as well as a person. She feels for your animal as you would. She has always given top-notch care. Sometimes the desk people are a little stiff, but I don't take my dog there for them to see. Also the technicians are wonderful. If I have to leave my pet there, I am very comfortable they are watching them and giving them great care. I would recommend her highly.
