My 9 year old dog and 15 year old cat both had to be euthanized within weeks of each other due to causes that could have and should have been recognized by this practice. I spent a lot of money and got no answers or services, so I went for a second opinion. My new vet uncovered very serious illnesses in both animals that were evident in bloodwork performed at Reston Animal Hospital. The staff never informed me and cost me the opportunity to give my animals treatment and extend both the length and quality of their lives. The worst part is that I would never know if I hadn't gone to another practice. Extremely scary.

The Doctors are very nice and talked quite a bit to me. The main desk complete opposite, rude and rushes you out of there. I was late 5 mins for an appt, I ended up wating 35 mins extra to fet in a room. Very expensive costs just for normal checkup.

Had my first appt this week for my 12 week old rescue puppy. Arrived at 10:00am (Yes had to go to work late to keep the appointment) Checked in and was told I did not have an appointment. I said I called on Friday and set up the appt. for today at 10:00. The snotty clerk said you did not call us! WOW!! She told me she would try to work me in. I said no need for any favors plenty of other vets in the area. Then I came home and sure enough I had the email confirming my appt. Wish I had remember that when I was at the office. Now if they treat people that way hummmm wonder what is going on behind the closed doors with our pets?????

So not worth it. The doctors are mostly fine, but the support staff is incompetent. Today was the last straw - my husband called to see if they had our cat's prescription cat food in a 20 pound bag. They do and said they will hold it for him. He takes his break from work to drive over there only to learn that they sold it someone else. After some back and forth between the two women at the counter (where's the bag - I sold it - but we were holding it - oh, I didn't know that - you were the one who told me to pull it so we could hold it . . .) they flippantly apologized and then stared at him. The only solution they offered was to sell him a 4 pound bag (which is almost half as much as the 20 pound bag). Interestingly enough, this is not the first time this has happened. Just to be clear, we do not believe our pets ever received less than adequate care from the doctors or techs, but it is really not worth the frustration. We're switching to Clocktower Animal Hospital.

I too caught the wrath of her in the midst of what I consider an emergency with my pet. My vet was OUT and she went out her her way to tell me she was doing me a favor by contacting him off hours and she needed a GUARANTEE I would be waiting by the cell phone all day with NO INKLING of a time frame. I told her I am busy just like he is and I cannot provide a GUARANTEE I will not be IN THE BATHROOM or in the shower if he were to call late but that I expected to know why it was my pets tests results were NOT ACCURATELY RELATED TO ME AFTER I HAD THAT MORNING PICKED THEM UP MYSELF to find a huge surprise that many levels were elevated when I was told the results were normal. Weeks had gone by since I was told this and now as a result my pet may be worse off. They are all rude and I too had an additional $500 bill as a result of this Dr. Carcus (sp) telling me to administer medication I was later told she should not have had me administer combined with another pill. I AM CHANGING VETS.

OMG - This place is a joke. Had my pet's first appt. this past week and the so called manager is rude and furthermore made a comment when I left and paid the bill with my AMEX card she said "you do know they charge us a lot to take that card do you have another"? I told her yes but I wanted the points for my vacation. She swiped the card with all kinds of drama. Don't you now wonder what is going on behind closed doors? Never going back 300.00 and 45 min late and then treated like a criminal for using AMEX. No thanks going to find a new vet ASAP. STAY AWAY VERY RUDE!!!

High turnover thereby no continuity of care. Have been told 2 different instructions on medication regiment. Asked to speak to the Manager and she was rude and condescending. She was doing me a favor by speaking with me with a legitimate concern. After a year and half and over a thousand dollars – I am done. Will not go back. Heard such great things about Dr. Miller; alas he partially retired and not in the practice very much. Such a shame that the legacy he built is being destroyed.

I just called to get a quote on prices for a shot for my cat. I was quoted $61.00 for a shot that is between $16.00 and $24.00 everywhere else. When I said I thought we weren't talking about the same shot, and could I please speak to someone who knew more, the girl responded with a snotty "I just asked my supervisor" then slammed down the phone on hold. I will not even bother to go there - if this is the level of knowledge and professionalism they oprate at, forget it. No chance I will trust them with my pet now.

The prices are not unreasonable for this area, but the people there drove us away. Whenever we called to make an appointment or ask a question, no matter who answered, they always seemed like they were bothered. One guy answered my question curtly (regarding walk in procedures) and hung up before I could get the words "ok, thank you" out of my mouth. The vets there are definitely not the caring type, and their attitudes are more like construction workers handling a plank of wood than your pet. For that money there are at least two other vets in the vicinity with a much more loving atmosphere. We bailed.
