2 yaars ago today my beautiful loving cat,Sandy died. She had undiagnosed fluid in her lungs. She had been at this clinic 2 times to take care of an Upper Respiratory condition. 1st in Nov. She was on some medication. It did not help. I brought her back beginning of February and asked the Doctor if it could be pneumonia because she sounded congested in her chest and exhibited signs of heavy "chest breathing". I was dismissed and told "cats do not get pneumonia". She did not improve and gradually her appetite decreased and she lost weight and became lethargic. I researched online and found out about fluid in the lungs. By the time I took her to another vet she was not eating and was being force fed by me. I asked for an Xray which did show the extreme fluid in her lungs. This vet was barely aware of the history of the URI and medications. She suggested a trip to Specialty Care Emergency Services who drained the fluid. Better for a few days than died drowning in fluid.

CVA Covington has been our vet clinic since 1990. While there has been some turnover through the years, every single one of our vets has been extremely caring/competent and treated both us and our cats with respect and gentleness. As our six cats slowly began to die of age-related diseases or cancers, everyone at this clinic has been extremely supportive. Dr. Walls helped us keep our cat with untreatable throat cancer comfortable/eating for as long as we could. He is extremely creative and caring and willing to spend time on the phone discussing care rather than making an ill cat endure an unnecessary trip to the clinic. He is now treating the last of our six cats and caught his hyperthyroidism early on and gave us info about radioisotope therapy. Even after an after hours/emergency bladder stone surgery at another clinic, our cat still doesn't mind going to the vet because Dr. Walls is so gentle and reassuring with him. Thanks for always taking such good care of our much-loved cats.

The vets and personnel are kind, courteous, care a great deal for the animals and are reasonable priced with no hidden fees.
