Click to report rating    2/27/10   1     1     1     1   Not enough room to describe entire problem here. Went in 8-14-2009 because our dog exhibited many symptoms of Lyme disease. Told vet we suspected Lyme and they did a test. They told us it was negative and she probably just had a pulled muscle. Approx 2 months went by - no improvement. Went back to vet. Gave her some pain meds and told us, "it might take time". January 2010, went for a second opinion after no improvement. We had Fitchburg Vet Hospital fax over our dog's records to new vet. They identified she IN FACT HAD LYME DISEASE and it went untreated for all those months. The notes from Fitchburg Vet Hospital clearly state she was Lyme positive from the test in August 2009. How they missed that baffles us. Our dog suffered (and continues to) for months because of them. She's being treated now, but no guarantee she will ever be 100% again the rest of her life. We are probably going to pursue this in small claims court. Stay away from this vet. Bryan D. Bethke RID: 16796
Click to report rating    8/6/09   4     5     4     5   I have been going to this vet for almost a decade. I can not believe the previous rating given by others. They seem to be people who must just like giving bad reviews. I have had many major medical concerns occur with my animals and have always trusted their care to the staff at fvh. I have had doctors come in on their days off and weekends to see my animals when necessary. Though i understand the comment about prices since the new clinic opened, I am sure that person was only use to the old fitchburg's prices way below the rest in the city, now the prices have only been brought up to the standard of the rest of the city but are still better and lower than any clinic my friends have went to with their pets. I would never take my pets anywhere else other than fvh. Though i miss seeing Mel and Liz up at the front, there are many staff memebers from old Fitchburg that are still at the clinic and they are all still just as wonderful, helpful, and welcoming. Click to report rating    6/29/08   2     1     2     1   I will comment after my dog is out of danger. Basically after leaving the Fitchburg Veterinary Hospital after many test and 1 1/2 weeks and four to five visits and lots of money they charged and no discovery of what was wrong with my sweet dog, I took my dog to a great emergency care Veterinary and they found the problem right away and did major surgury. So far so good. I will list the new place seperately. RID: 9091
