Make no mistake, this is a business first. All about money. The younger vets will try to sell you unneeded tests and procedures. I only stay with them because they are 24/7 for emergencies. One young vet said my cat had gum disease and needed treatment. I got feline gum disease photos on line to compare. He did not have it. Never got the treatment and his teeth are still good and that was 4 years ago. Now I will only use Drs. Evans, Winter or Stonefield. The rest are worthless. This place is ok if you are knowledgeable enough to manage your pets health care.

This is a hospital meant to make money. Nothing less. They guilt you into doing unnecessary procedures and charge way too much for it. One dr. Actually said " if this was my dog I would have these tests done just to be sure." They never look at charts and I have to re-explain everything every time I go in. You never see the same vet twice. I took my two dogs in for an emergency once and they made me pay up front! There is zero compassion here. I paid $40 for doxycycline for one dog for Luke's disease. A week later I paid $4 for the same exact medication for myself at a pharmacy. I could go on and on. Stay away!

I have been using Flannery's for 13 years. The entire staff has always been friendly and their compassion for my animals from the front desk to the kennel workers to the vets has been very meaningful to me as I had two blind poodles and one had diabetes. Their prices are on the high side but they offer a full range of specialites and my animals were not alone at night when they were sick and had to be hospitalized. Their 24 hour service is worth the exta cost and they were there for me at #:00 in the morning when my poodle went into grand mal seizures.

I had been going to Dr. Winter for 4 yrs. with all my 8 cats. The reception area is the 1st. people you meet, and they always seemed to have an attitude. They rarely looked at you, just there computer. When I had to send 2 of my cats to kitty heaven, & I got the bill in the mail, I was beyond furious.. they charged me $100 each for euthinasia & $38 each for a wellness exam that day. I wrote back, letting them know that they should be ashamed of themselves for charging me for 2 wellness exams..Why? they were put to sleep. They never replied & a month later sent me the same bill again. I went in to talk to them & they could not understand why I was charged for an exam and credited me $76. & have someone call me about it..why, 2 months went by after all that upset, & the loss of 2 best friends..I was appalled that no one contacted me when I wrote them. I have learned they are all about $$$, always over charging, & will never go back again.

My rating is for Dr. Evans, the staff part doesn't bother me as long as the care is good. I have had no problems with anything that D. Evans has done for me, i am a breeder of Rottweilers and what i want in a vet is knowledge not bed side manners, but Dr. Evans has all of that and more, if you choose to use this hospital ask for Dr. Evans, he reminds me of a doctor on roller skates he runs so fast.

My friend brought his 18 year old cat in as it was suffering and needed to be euthanized. Flannery's agreed that the cat needed to be put to sleep, but not without first giving it a full set of vaccinations which had just expired. My friend does not have a lot of money, and I can't think of a more frivilous way to throw money away than to vaccinate a cat which needs to be euthanized. My friend could not afford to do both, so the cat ended up dying a painful death at home due to this greedy vet clinic.

Receptionst are the 1st people you see when you walk in... new clients 1st impression of the entire practice is based on that. Being said, they were rude and unprofessional. They should convey the kind of compassion for everyones animal. There was urine on the floor in the waiting room with a "wet floor" sign, yuck!

Fantastic staff. Dr. Winters is wonderful and Dr Evans saved my dogs life in an after hours emergency. He gave me straight talk about my dogs condition and even called me to update his condition at 10pm! Yes they are a bit more expensive than the other vets but you get what you pay for.
